2016 US Presidential Elections | Trump Wins

You don't ask people from other countries to vote on a decision purely about Britain. Doesn't make sense. Trouble is nowadays folk think they should have a right to do whatever they want. Life isn't like that. If I happened to be living in say France or Germany I wouldn't consider it anything to do with me if they had a referendum on whether to leave the EU. It would be for them to decide what they wanted for their country, not me.
I fundamentally disagree.

People should get to vote over the affairs of the country they live in. They shouldn't get to vote in the affairs of countries they do not live in.

Gotcha. It's a topic I'm highly interested in, but I never had the opportunity to properly study it in uni.

If Trump wins maybe I can convince the wife to let me try come over there as a student!
When I've less going on with assignments and exams I'll look for a few sources to recommend. For now-Tim Pat Coogan's 'The Troubles' is a great read-though it's biased in favour of the Irish perspective (nothing wrong with that ;) ). However, it is quite extensive and gives a good perspective of how a lot of Irish people felt.
On youtube, 'Voices from the Grave' is very good.

I'm still at work so hoping to get out of here soonish so I can get caught up. The big news won't filter in until after 7pm PST though, I hope.

Panic over on the machine 200k traded in next 10 mins - Clinton back to 1.17

I was up all night following all the news on the Brexit referendum, and it all turned to shit...so I'm just gonna go to bed this time. Please make sure that the world isn't burning by the time I wake up tomorrow. Thanks

Megyn Kelly on now, my fantasy is if/when it's called for Clinton she would just stand up, say "suck my balls, i'm off to CNN", drop mic, walk off stage.
I would suck her balls, there maybe a political argument afterwards.

It be so much better if that was how this election was decided. Trump would likely struggle to wrap his tiny fingers around the spoon.

Hilary would ask Obama to carry it to the finish line and then take it off his hands at the very end.

The Republican states are showing a lead for the Republic candidate. It's been such a long day of nothingness that I'm going to pretend that's a surprise. Oh, the humanity!

Anyone got a HD Fox news stream?

That's the best channel to watch. Who can forget the Karl Rove meltdown when Obama won in 2012

BBC coverage is so calming compared to the shitshow on American news channels. Gonna have to switch over to this every 20 minutes to avoid getting permanent brain damage.

I appreciate the suggestions! I'll see if I can pick the book up on Amazon and will watch the video later this week.

Favourables for party/candidate and trustworthy number from the exit polls so far point to a 5-7 point win rather than the tighter 3-4 projected.

After tonight's exposure, I am not watching CNN in the next four years. I hope whatever I've absorbed will half-decay until then.
