He's a strange man for sure. :wenger:

I did say last night that is seems like the press are drip feeding stories and holding stuff in reserve ready to unleash it all when they feel the time is right. They must have some huge stuff in reserve because this tax story just released today is massive! It's taken over social media and he is getting his arse handed to him over it. I wonder what they are holding back? One thing is for sure is that is Trump will be well and truly done when they are finally finished with him. I must admit to really enjoying all this. It's priceless

His taxes paid laid out year by year! Some damning shit here.

"That makes me smart"

I wonder what stage it would have to get to for what people think about Trump's taxes to be worse than what the reality is. They must be tremendous.

What's the campaign strategy nowadays? Full steam ahead? There doesn't appear to be any other strategy that can possibly work for him now.

Well this has been a good start to the day so far :D Imagine being the journalist who's been sitting on this story for however long... it must have been hell not to run it!

Which meeeeeeeans I guess this is the territory we could be headed into for the rest of the campaign

It'd be great if he lost and then these findings continued to haunt him long after the race is over. Not only does he lose and look like the joke that he is, his determination to get as many eyes on him as possible backfires spectacularly when the government comes knocking.

Don't get too excited about the government knocking though, I find it hard to believe a guy like Trump wouldn't have his tracks covered. Besides, it sets a precedent. If they catch Trump, they must do it for others too.

You just know he's still going to be within 5 points in all the polls this week.

True. It's my hope, anyway. What immediately sprang to my mind was the entire Lance Armstrong thing, as in it was hardly believable when one of the biggest cheats was finally brought down. Get all the right pieces in the correct places and I hope to see something like that happen to Trump.

See, I don't like Trump, but I can't stand this bullshit either. He is a racist, and I don't mind that people acknowledge that he is a racist. But to use that to frame an issue in order to protect Don Lemon; that is where I draw the line!

People can acknowledge that Don Lemon is a terrible reporter, but we shouldn't pretend that people criticize him because he is black, he is just a truly terrible host and reporter.
Am I the one "defending" Don Lemon? Don Lemon is an absolute lemon. I didn't say anything about him, I'm just sharing this because I find Trump's constant "have you seen Xs ratings!?!?' hilarious.

I said nothing about Lemon or his skin colour, relax

Can someone explain to me how it's possible to have avoided paying any taxes like he has? Wouldn't every business do the same if given a legal opportunity to do so? And if it actually is a case of finding perfectly legal loopholes, is it really as bad as it sounds?

This guy agrees with you :p

Draft dodger (✓)
Tax dodger (✓)

I really hope the DoJ goes hard after this clown after the elections.

Just look at the very last line there "Trump bragged that he had bigger rallies than Bernie" For fecks sake. It's a serious illness, he didn't at all, Bernie often had far superior numbers than Trump did, and that's not the point anyway, the point is, what does any of that matter anyway? It was months ago and he still can't let things like that go. Just on the mere off chance that people might think Bernie actually had more people attending his rally than Trump. It's insanity.

Trump does this continually, he always lies about stuff to his fans, constantly trying to reiterate "facts" that he is the best or has won this or done that, despite often vast evidence to prove otherwise, and also despite I suspect many knowing the truth. He is massively insecure and I can't work out how people can not see this, but even worse, the ones who CAN see it, yet choose to ignore it and still vote for him anyway. It's truly perplexing, also frustrating and incredibly annoying.

I can almost hear him now
"I know all the tax loopholes, all of them and I'm going to CLOSE them all.... ALL OF THEM

Crooked hillary never closed any of them whilst she was in the government... her husband never closed any NEVER probably he was too busy with interns... but Crooked hillary will not close tax loopholes because she will be too busy taking your guns"

Obama is a gay Muslim who is married to a man and they kidnapped their children...

Trump may not be the leader the usa needs... he may just be the leader they deserve?

If the judge didn't stiffed her of her compensation awarded by the jury, I'd imagine her life would take on another course.

As much as we like to feel superior to these people, we are yet to experience the crushing despair they feel daily. Of course, some are just straight up bigoted, not mistreated.

Hey Jill Stein, you and Trump will have something to chat about next time you see each other :D

It's amazing how quickly and completely this notion of Jill being anti-vaccine has spread. I went through her public stance with ubik, it's complicated but she doesn't doubt the utility or safety of vaccines. I went through the Green Party platform just to be sure and vaccines and homeopathy aren't mentioned once.

I know, I know, it's not clear-cut and I'm probably thinking just of that reddit stuff. It's a Sunday afternoon, I felt like a cheap shot :D

It's not really representative though...her circumstances were (hopefully) extraordinary and now her neighbour wants her committed, 40mil can't be like that.

I think the decline of low educated working whites into an underclass has been quite well documented. There are aspects of her circumstances unique to herself but generally, lack of economic opportunity + social mobility + decline of community tend to draw those people into apathy or reactionary far right politics.

You're deluded if you think that Trump is on his own with the whole tax thing.
The Clintons will be tax dodging like feck too, maybe not on the same scale but it'd be foolish to go down that avenue to try and diss Trump.

I wonder how long it will take for the rust belt to move on and accept the fact that manufacturing jobs are never coming back, no matter who they support.

But Trump is the one who is standing on a campaign based on how much money he has, and still hasn't released his tax returns.

2002 38.2% 6.8% 45%
2003 32% 7.8% 39.7%
2004 31.1% 7.7% 38.9%
2005 30.8% 7.6% 38.5%
2006 29.5% 7.6% 37.1%
2007 25% 11.6% 36.6%
2008 30.5% 7.1% 37.6%
2009 30.5% 9.4% 39.9%
2010 31.2% 9.1% 40.3%
2011 29.5% 10.3% 39.8%
2012 30% 9.2% 39.2%

2014 35.7% 10.1% 45.8%

So let me get this straight, losing almost a billion dollars is a sign of a successful business?

They have released 40 years of their tax records. Where is the dodging ?
