Eagles could have really pounded Geelong. Damn they are looking like a shadow of their former selves now, it's quite a huge change.

Their recruiting, which was so good for many years, has really let them down these last few seasons.
 
I think this is the shit season Geelong was always going to have after being so good for so long. If they can bring through their young players, and still be there or thereabouts for top 8, they'll be in good stead. Eagles are doing well, but there might still be questions until they beat a team like Hawthorn, Fremantle or Sydney.

Some complaints about seven's commentators last night being biased towards Fremantle. Eddie McGuire and Dwayne Russell were mourning and in pain when Fremantle beat Geelong in Geelong earlier in the season.

I didn't notice anything unusual? They usually support the team that is losing or whatever anyway. Hard to find a commentator who doesn't show any bias
 
Ryan Crowley banned for twelve months, from September 25, so he could play the Grand Final.

Claims he was accidentally given methadone in a painkiller. My mates in medicine seem fairly sure that's complete bullshit due to the extremely tight regulations around prescribing methadone.
 
He can play the preliminary final should Fremantle make it, and play on the Saturday. Grand Final day this year is the first Saturday in October.

I thought the same. After the Bulldogs jumped them a few weeks ago I reckon the Giants will be pretty determined to make sure it doesn't happen again though.
