The only problem with a big league (14+ teams) is that you run out of players.

Its going to be tough for Ebooe to run this anyway, with so many players and co-players. I'd consider doing two leagues - one on each platform - if it makes sense. I could always manage the NFL.com one. However, its more fun with more of us involved in a single league. I've a few scores to settle from last year.

Does the number of participants affect the draft?

Well yeah. The more teams involved means less quality players for each team to choose from. 14 is about the maximum you can have with each team having a decent amount of good players. Any more than 14 teams means you're going to have some shite players on your team.

NFL, ESPN, Yahoo, paper based...none of it really matters, the outcome will be the same. Me celebrating, you crying. Eboue already tried leaving me out of auto having my own team because he's shitting it.

I'm not playing seeing as you're only treating me like this. Not everyone is like you or MF signing up for something then changing mind minutes before it starts.

Alright so here are the possible solutions to a large league:

  1. Lots of teams and smaller rosters. Barely any bench at all, 1 WR, 1 RB, 1 FLEX. This option sucks because a single injury can ruin your season.
  2. 2 leagues. This option sucks because it's not really a redcafe league anymore. Part of the fun is when everyone gets to remind @JP77 just how much he sucks. It's less fun when only 50% get to do that. In addition, I guarantee that some of the people signing up now will become inactive.
  3. Pairing people up. This helps hedge against people becoming inactive. It also works because we have lots of new players.
  4. Booting people out. This is a non-starter.

As benevolent dictator, we are going with #3. Any more than 14 teams ruins the balance of available players. Separate leagues makes it less fun, as AC said.

Option 3 seems the best option for the current situation we're in with new players, some inactives etc. Are we going to pair up yet?
