You don't need to know Westwood personally to know he's not a winner. He's overweight and refused to move to America for the peak years of his career. The guy's not that bothered. He might win one major if everything falls into place.

Pissed off I can't get any coverage at work.. having to keep up to speed on the BBC and twitter feeds which are a bit of a joke at the moment. The BBC one is fine during the other majors but it seems they switch off a bit for the PGA.

It is. You might be able to get some coverage from the PGA website but it'll probably be Americans only. Coverage has been limited anyway. Get yourself on a stream.

I'm guessing it's the same deal as the Masters, where even the Americans are contractually obliged to not show anything til a certain time.

It's getting worse lads. Westwood threw his round away, Day fell away, Snedeker might not make the cut, same with Johnson, whilst Matt fecking Kuchar is absolutely flying.
Golf is still lacking in common sense when it comes to television. The Masters is particularly bad. It's like they don't want people to watch it. It's frustrating because it's actually a great television sport.
In terms of the competition, the course is playing too easy. Shooting 63 on a course with 2 par 5s is too easy for a major championship. The US Open at Merrion had it right. Give these guys a test - don't let them play target golf.

Incredible round from Dufner. The way he played 17 and 18 in particular was seriously impressive.

I would think Adam Scott will win this one. Dufner has too many putting problems, whilst Furyk won't have it in him to finish.
If McIlroy gets out tomorrow and hits 65, he could well be the winner too.

I've enjoyed this major so far. It's been a lot better to watch than the other 3 majors this year. It's refreshing to watch a few birdies & eagles rather than watching the entire field struggling to score par.
Woods seems to be struggling at the majors because his long game is too wayward for these type of setups and his short game is not a consistent as it once was. In contrast to the normal PGA tour even Tiger Woods can't play out of the type of rough you find at the major tournaments. His best bet to win another major will be at Augusta because there's less rough and wider fairways.
I fancy Stenson for the win, he's been there or there about in the last 3 majors and played well last week. Wouldn't rule out McIlroy either, he'll be feeling the best he's felt all year after yesterday's round. If he gets his mojo going he could easily score in the low 60's on this course. He's still the most talented player in the field despite his struggles.

Caught up with last night's play this afternoon. A touch more accuracy with the putter and Westwood would be on the first page. Apply that to Scott and he'd probably have the trophy. So many dropped shots which for me meant this major became fairly routine to really gripping. Seeing that first page get bogey after bogey whilst Westwood was making steady progress was very enjoyable. Not to mention Dustin Johnson's played himself right back in it was a -5 round. None of mine should win but two (maybe even three with Day) have a chance of top 6.
My dad said it'd take a miracle round from Westwood. In reality, it just took a disaster round from most of those above it. Can't call it at the moment, but if I had to pick one I'd be tempted to go with Furyk. If his bottle holds out (and it has done before), he's in the best position. For Scott to win it, he needs Furyk and Dufner to have disaster rounds and he'll be lucky to finish -2 for the day. I don't think the scoring's out there for someone to burst through the pack. Westwood and McIlroy are far too far behind.
