In a word, stacked.
With Pettitte back we potentially have a 7 man-rotation but of course it never works out like that.
CC Sabathia - Lost some weight and is talking about controlling it, he's gonna be ace whatever weight.
Kuroda - Might have some AL transition issues early season but should come good.
Pineda - He's gonna have games where he struggles simply because of experience but he's also gonna have games where he is unhittable. His K/9 rates are fantastic, his slider is beautiful. His velocity is a bit down at the moment but he's not fully streteched out yet.
Nova - Might have second season issues but I expect we might see him improve on his rookie year.
Hughes - I'm guessing he is the 5th starter at this point, looks great in spring training so far but you never know with him. If he bounces back then 1 through 5 this a top 5 in all of baseball rotation.
Garcia - At this point he is the long man out of the pen but could quite easily become 5th starter should Hughes not stand up or injuries to any of the others. Probably will end up traded at some point in July to a team missing a rotation arm if all goes well.
Pettitte - Minor league deal, if he is anywhere near effective he will be knocking on the rotations door in June/July.
Logan - Left out only guy again, should be adequate again.
Wade - Bargain basement find last season, more of the same this.
Roberton - If he cuts out some walks and maintains his K rate then he is likely to be stepping into the closer spot after this season.
Soriano - Probably expects to get off to a better start this season, again might be auditioning for the closer role.
Rivera - He's being coy about it but I think this is his last season and I am just gonna enjoy watching the guy.
Guys that might help us at some point if they get healthy: Joba, Feliciano, Aardsma.
Guys that might break through: Phelps, Mitchell, Kontos, Betances, Rapada.
Guys that are talented but probably too early for impact: Banuelos, Warren.
Cashman has done a really nice job this offseason, at one point we were heading into the season with a 3 man rotation now its 7 potential starters deep. He also added little pieces that are small gambles but could have big rewards like Aardsma (more of a 2013 guy) and Rapada who might become a cheap left out only pickup.
It's baseball so I try not to get carried away with predictions because they usually turn out wrong but this is the strongest Yankee's bullpen I have seen for quite a few years, add in a top line offense and really they should be stronger than last season. Think it will be a nice battle with the Rays in the AL East, Red Sox trailing behind a bit at this point (I don't like the look of their rotation).
