2010 Masters: Predictions

Played for many many years. Handicap 0... :boring:

YOu know in my very first job, my boss hired me over another candidate even though they were both golfers. He told me he doesnt trust a scratch golfer. No way he could work hard and yet maintain his handicap. :nono:

Some people are just naturally gifted :) I mean Tiger doesn't play for 5 months and still manage to play -4 :)

looks like harrington will be missing the cut unless he can find 3 or 4 shots on the back 9.

He is not playing well at all!

Couples is a surprising leader at the moment

Well I've backed ( put a hex on ) Lee Westwood

By the way my golf bets havce gone recently, he's got no chance of making the cut

9under and 1 clear through 7 holes. I've still think he'll balls it uo and miss the cut

I hope Tiger doesnt win. Really dont want to see him with a big smug head on him collecting the trophy on sunday. I would like to see Mickelson win it. He's probably had a much harder time than Tiger over the last year or so

I've been a fan of Mickelson for many years and I said at the start I'd like to see him win it but I wouldn't mind seeing Tiger win. I don't think he's smug at all, quite the opposite to be honest.

The weather looks set fair for the weekend so there should be no distraction on that head.

Only two Brits left i the tournament but who'd have guessed they'd both be leading , whether they can cope with the pressure and push on when it counts, well that is another matter.

How far down the leaderboard would you go for potential contenders, who do you see putting in two consistent rounds of golf and finding themselves in the mix were the rest to fall back a bit?

Weird post, though I agree Phil's story is terrible and I genuinely feel for the guy, if anyone is smug and stuck up it's Phil, and this is from a first-person account.

Tiger seems humbled, it's brilliant how well he's playing with the mental strain (All you need to do is refer back to when his father passed away) and I hope he's a fixture late in the tournament.

He's in the position to pounce, if I remember correctly last time Poulter and Westwood played together they both ****ped completely.

Tiger's in his perfect sweet spot -- lucking amongst the leaders and slowly climbing up in time for moving day on saturday.

If he wins, I will have even more respect for his mental capability if its possible. The pressure he must be under to perform is unbelievable. Everyone one in the media is just waiting for him to fail to make the inevitable story of him being "human" and fallible.

Can't wait to follow Westwood and Poulter's round today, I really think one of them can do it (hopefully Lee). I'm sat here gagging for a round but my stupid course picks this week of all weeks to rip up the greens.

Tiger still hasn't won a major when going into the final round from behind if I'm not mistaken.

Really ? I could swear he's come from behind (no jokes please) in majors on numerous occasions on Sunday.

:rolleyes::rolleyes::lol::lol:

His short game was good on Saturday; but putting looked rusty like he had forgotten how to put it into the hole already. ;)

And hopefully he will drive straighter on Sunday than he did leaving his home if he is being chased.

There is one thing I am sure of after playing and following golf for 10 years, Lee Westwood is a bottler. He almost always gets into winning positions and throws them away, especially in the really big tournaments. Mickelson to win it, going on the evidence today. Would be good for Woods to win it, for the headlines... but can't see it. His driving has been terrible.

Wishfull thinking on your part, Lee is number four in the world and has matured significantly since 99. His game the last three days has been so solid; barely an errant drive and some really consistant putting. He wont lose his lead (through "bottling") but someone like Mickleson could go out there and take it from him if they have a hot streak.

Mickelson will bottle it, Tiger will win, and then he will pull a pat bowlen "This one's for Elin"

Today was crazy. I've always been a Tiger fan so I hope he wins, but I'm hoping it's a tight race.

Hope Tiger pulls it off. If he comes from behind to win the Masters on the final day, a lot of the crap about his affairs will vanish from the media spotlight.

Tbh. I am ok with his affairs -- at least you know he is human with a dubious personality -- porn star chicks. The predictable Madonna-Whore syndrome smack in the middle of his fairway.

I just cant stand the wankers who pontificate about his behaviour like many of the Repubs or TV Evangelist or even the boss of the Masters southern boy, Billy whatshisname and then have skeletons in their own closets.

When I was 16 I played off 1, but I stopped playing for 3 years whilst I was at uni, and I've only just started up again like, off 7 at the moment.

Nice, I'm 22 now and it sucks being a student because it means that I don't get to play nearly as much golf as I'd like to. In the summer i usually played 40 hours a week.

I think I've played more golf as a student than at any time in my life! University golf is great, if you're any good you should join the club; you get a discounted membership to the local club.

Without approving or disapproving, his personal life is simply no one else's business other than his and his family's. But he shouldn't be surprised that his affinity for having fun has adversely impacted his career.

It's the hypocrisy that bothers people, the fact that Tiger and his public relations team presented him as this wholesome family man that kids could look up to as a role model. Also you say it's none of our business? I'm sorry, when you hog the limelight and use it to hawk products of all descriptions then you've sold your private life.

It's all very well rolling your eyes at me but what exactly are "family man products"? The point I was making is that the image he carefully manicured was one of an upstanding, wholesome role-model and it turns out he is none of those things.

My issue with sponsorships was totally unconnected to my point about him being a pseudo family man. I was reacting to someone who said that it was none of our business what he does in his private life. My reaction to that was that when you embrace the media as fully as he has (in order to flog all kinds of products and make millions of dollars) then you have to take the rough with the smooth. You can't just expect to have all the benefits with none of the drawbacks (in terms of diminishing your "private life").
