2009 Baseball Season

I'd definitely do it. If we could get a couple more, I'd set it up.

I am up for some fantasy league. I have baseball mogul so I am the baseball equivalent of an FM muppet.

Probably at least 6 or 7 minimum, 8 would be perfect... if there's only 4 or 5 folks, it's going to be 4 teams of all-stars, no transactions needed.

I can get some folks from outside the site to play if need be?

I'd say 8 is the minimum, 10 would be better. Getting people from outside would be fine with me, I might have someone who would be interested too.

If anyone else is interested in joining just shoot me a PM and I can give you the league details.

Well you may not win too often, but you sure will be seeing some entertaining games again this year!

they need to lock-up hamilton. he's rejected their first offer. this year, as it has been since day one, they need pitching. if they can start fast this year and not dig themselves a big hole, like the last two years, they may do ok.

texas ranger fan here.

no one can accuse me of being a glory hunter.

Sympathy.

Bright future at the catching position, cant go wrong with Salty, Teagarden or Ramirez... good trade chips in the future as well.

Have to say though, you lot fecked up with Laird... we were willing to give you 2 pretty highly rated prospects.

Yea, just a tiny bit of decent pitching to go along with the best lineup in baseball would do wonders. I'm a big fan of Hamilton... of course that may be because I drafted him in the 13th round of my keeper league last year and now he's my team's cornerstone. :D But really, it is a great story to see him back in the game and doing so well after all of those problems.

Moved the draft to tomorrow, because 4 or 5 isn't enough. PMing you the details again Anderson.

Young Angels prospect Nick Adenhart was killed hours after his start last night in a car crash. Guy who ran the red light and caused the crash, drove away but was caught thankfully.

Such a shame.

Draft is done then, im happy with my team just about.

Just read about Adenhart, tragic. fecking drunks.

it's horrible LA is fecking dangerous

Damn shame

nyr i missed the draft so feel free to bow me out and give away my players

Don't think that's actually possible.. The best solution to yahoo's questionable automatic drafting are some clever waiver wire pickups. Your team's actually pretty good from what I saw the other day. :)

Couple interesting players have started the year out on fire. Should be interesting to see how they play for the rest of the year. (Adam Lind in particular has always had the potential but never really put it together)

I just purchased MLB.tv, and within minutes 2 of my fantasy team players go yard. :)

What a great service though, puts our football coverage to shame in terms of whats available to view on demand online.

Big series this week: Red Sox v. Yankees. Probable pitchers:
4/24/2009 NYY 4:10 PM Lester (1-2) Chamberlain (0-0)
4/25/2009 NYY 1:10 PM Beckett (2-1) Burnett (2-0)
4/26/2009 NYY 5:05 PM Masterson (1-0) Pettitte (2-0)

I feel a 2-1 split for us (Boston)... we're starting to click, it looks like Lester is past his rough start, Beckett has looked composed (And is coming off suspension so he has a point to prove) and Masterson's spot start was brilliant... i'm excited because this is an early comparison to see who won the signing between us and the Yankees for Tex.

Im really glad this series is on the weekend so I can watch it over here in the UK. I'll go for the Yankees 2-1 AJ and Andy have started well for us I think they will carry it on. Good that the Yankees got a day off today because we used all or bull pen last night against the A's.

Sahweeeeeeeeep

Prettiest steal with the ugliest slide, all in one play

New York papers were crying because mfys are hamstrung because A-Rod is out of the line-up. Didn't know it was a one man team.

With the millenium duckets they spent, excuses are worthless... Tampa last year, Toronto this year.

To think we have what we have, and in reserve and injured we have more... depth is the future

I spoke with my mate in New York he said the papers, radio are ripping the Yankees apart as they should. The stories online I've read none of them blame the loses on not having A-Rod or making excuses. There is no excuses the pitching was pathetic just terrible the yankees deserved to lose.
