2008 Toyota International Rules Series

Great defending from Ireland there, courageous mark going back into a pack.

No idea. If it's anything like AFL it's about 20 minutes.

Rain's on. Should make life difficult for the fellas adapting to the new ball.

I figured out the free kick decision we were perplexed about PJ.

It was because your lad had a bounce, and whilst the ball was bouncing Brown tackled him off the ball. Which, in our code = dropping the ball (the same as holding the ball) and is thus a free kick to the opposition.

Good defending from Ireland.

A good sliding effort from Brown, that's me boy!

The big guy with the over. AND WHAT A GOAL from Kavanagh!

19 - 28

It's just going to be a war of attrition here, Ireland are easily the more skilled side, yet their fitness drops off at the end of the quaters.... Which is when Australia fight back and get the ascendency.

GREAT chase down from Brown, followed up by a fantastic second effort which leads to a free kick for him.

Bock really struggling with his position so far.

Ireland with another point.

Very clever play from Osborne here to tap it onto Harvey, who scores a point.

20 - 29

I go to the loo and that's the scoreline when I get back - get in!!

Cavanagh with an over.

20-32

Great play from Ireland there, Kavanagh with another over.

20 - 32

Fantastic stuff from Rodan there, sets up a Harvey over.

23 - 32

How far is the ball brought forward for dissent in afl?

Good goal from O'donnell.

Our player got confused with the rules, that's happened a few times re: picking up the ball off the when they're on the ground.

Get in!!

Stevie McDonnell goal after Aussie defensive nightmare.

24-41

24 - 41

Good defence from the Irish there. Australia need a quick over/goal.

BAH!

Great defending from Ireland there, top stuff.

Hayden needs to score here.

Nice Aussie over, Mark Murphy.

28-41, end of 3rd quarter.

YES.

Murphy scores a last gasp over there.

Three quater time: 28 - 41

Even if they don't win tonight they should get close enough to win the series next week.
