And you are not bringing the Glazers into this at all and the financial crisis after 2008? How convenient, selling Ronaldo and replacing him with Obertan and Owen might have had a something to do with that. Well anything goes to prove a point I guess.

As a 12 year old based out of India, I just saw a small headline in the sports section of the newspaper that Manchester United have signed Ronaldo and it got me really excited. Needless to say, I was quite angry and confused to see a skinny lad instead of the World Cup and golden boot winner.

Again that isn’t different to the point. The point is we lost Ronaldo and it impacted on the success of the team. Of course had we replaced Ronaldo with Messi we wouldn’t have seen the difference negatively but the point remains the same. Ronaldo was soooo good that once he left we found it harder to win trophies. Ronaldo got us over the line much more often than other players because he was one of the greatest players ever
