15 year old Indian striker Nipun Chauhan gets United trials

Indians are shit at football. I played football fairly well till I was 18. At least I thought so. I had opportunities in 3 sports hostels in my state for a football scholarship, but I chose to pursue my engineering in Information Tech.

Eventually, I was living in the US for 6 years and amateurs ran rings around me. I could have represented the state when I was 17, and my state was probably in the top 5 in the country. Well, we can't play well enough.

Maybe another root and branch, and European coaches and soccer schools for toddlers can help, but we are shit.

 I can imagine your team in India playing like this and thinking, "feck me, lads, we've really nailed this!"
