On to Lacazette.

He might actually want to join as well, would make for a welcome change.

Didn't he say that like a week ago? After the CL finale? That's not exactly news is it? It's just Metro using a week old quotes.

Isn't this the 'gave Louis van Gaal a piece of paper' guy? Or am I confusing him with somebody else?

Nah not him. I'm sure that guy was posting some sort of twitter info earlier in the month. Think it was Fabinho related.

I'm pretty sure Morata has said ever since he was forced back to Madrid having loved life at Juve that he wouldn't be happy being a bench warmer, that alone contradicts these 'quotes'

How was he forced back?

How was he forced back?

He didn't want to leave Juve, Madrid executed their buy back clause with a lot of speculation they did that just to sell him for more money straight away (obviously they ended up keeping him around as a bench player)

What you are stating is impossible, a buyback clause is binding on the club not on the player. Madrid couldn't buy him unless he agreed this isn't American sports mate, players can't be traded away without any say in it.

I doubt he's changed his mind in the course of a few days lol

What he says during celebrations and what he plans for his career might be different. Why to piss on the celebrations with unnecessary shit.

Dont think this is being reported else where, maybe a rehash of old quotes. My bad if that is so.

You think clubs are stupid when they put buy back clause? Obviously they will have agreement with player before selling him.

The quotes from that Marca article above are quite different. "I'd be crazy if I didn't want to stay." is a lot different from "I would be crazy to leave Real Madrid". It certainly looks like a really bad rehash of his comments from after the Champions League Final.

Turning into a disaster transfer window for us.

Surprised how much we seem to be dragging our feet despite the fact that Mourinho had allegedly given Woodward his "list" approximately 2 months ago?

His heart won't be 100% in it, he doesn't want to leave Madrid that's for certain.

We should just move on it's that simple. feck getting a player for that price who's not up for it while also funding Madrids Mbappe bid.

 he was forced back to RM,more like he started running the moment he heard the news.

I'm guessing Morata is back-up option to Griezmann perhaps, eventhough they play different positions... I could be wrong altogether. It seems strange a deal wasn't already in place though, if he was on this supposed list. We'd want to start concluding some deals now.

It's a bit different being asked directly after you've won the CL, when you're being linked to fecking MILAN, than being asked in the cold light of day a week later when you're being linked to a Jose managed United side who could pay you ridiculous sums.

What agreement, a buyback clause only helps in setting a fix price it is binding only on the club that too only if player wants to leave, there can be no buyback agreement between player and club before selling him. You clearly have no clue about what you are talking about.

He has to say the right things to the Madrid press.

The most important consideration for Morata is the need to be starting regularly and he knows that's not going to happen at Real.

That's how it works in FM but IRL it's different.

yeah he couldn't wait to sit on their bench for a season.

Didn't they buy him for a certain price due to a clause and want to sell him off for a profit that summer?
