What’s the point of having a big and strong squad if you don’t use it? Both players and Manager should be taking responsibility if we don’t win tonight if we were to make a few changes against the mighty Young Boys
Rubbish, it's the Champions League, and if last season was a lesson, then we need to qualify from the group as quickly as possible playing a strong first 11. Secure qualification then rest and rotate the last 2 games.

    Light blue kit.

I hate it. Looks like fecking City. Whoever sanctioned that kit needs sacking.

Really looking forward to this game.
I see Ronaldo grabbing another goal today. I also see us really stepping up and laying down the foundation for a solid champions league run. I would love to see us come out and push the pace and win 5-1 or 5-0.

I would give Lindelof a game to keep him match fit. Give Maguire a rest
Being serious for a second, one of Lindelofs main problems is timing of headers and dealing with the bouncing balls that he’s allowed to drop.
Now put him in a match played on artificial grass where the ball can bounce unnaturally. That would be fun to watch

I wonder will Lingard start ahead of Sancho

that is the only one I cannot decide on for my predicted line up

    MEN predicted lineup

Would've liked to have seen Sancho start if this ends up being true, about as expected other than that although I'd have guessed Shaw would've been rested for Dalot rather than AWB.

Obviously know precious little about these guys but you have to presume they are the group's whipping boys - and we should whip them. Anything but three points and we can forget going deep into the competition - and I'm pretty sure we will indeed win although no idea of the scoreline

I'm not quite sure if they're the whipping boys. I think they'll attack in each game, as they always do. Against United, that could either lead to a tough game or they get hammered.
I can't imagine a boring game, because they want the ball and like United, are better at the forward positions than at the back.

3:2 United win is my guess.

They could easily win against Atalanta, though.

It's a throwback to early 90s adidas United away kit.

    Looks nowt like City
I know that. Doesn't change the fact that it's light fecking blue and looks like you're watching City when it's on television.

It's just what one of the MEN journalists would like to see. Three of them do predictions and usually don't end up coming true. Not sure why that twitter account publicised it as if it was a leak.

I would like to see Dalot at RB and VDB paired with Fred in midfield.

Ah fairs, yeah just for clicks then as "leaked" line up would always get more interaction than predicted I suppose. Think it'll be quite close to that Luckhurst one mind.
it literally says 'predicted' in the tweet, as well as in the article.

I'm not expecting that to be the team, but if it is correct. Lingards work rate on the right side would be more beneficial if Dalot plays at RB. Hes ok getting forward but his defending isn't the best. Really can't see Ole going with 3 players that play better centrally across the line. Unless were using some interchangeable tactics

He can make errors from time to time but personally not at all worried about Lindelof in any given match. He'll be fine. Bailly on the other hand...

Just a friendly reminder, KO is 5:45pm (UK time).

He can make errors from time to time but personally not at all worried about Lindelof in any given match. He'll be fine. Bailly on the other hand...

I agree. They both have faults but I begrudgingly have to concede that Lindelof is a more reliable defender than Bailly. I think that Bailly could be a better defender but his injuries and erratic play prevent him from taking the next step.

Keep Sancho in from the start, let him build on his integration with the team on the pitch.

I think his outing on Saturday was progress, he was more direct. We need to go full strength, if we get a few goals then look to rest players, can't afford to start slowly in the CL group, look how quickly things changed last season.

If we use last season as a lesson then it clearly points out that we need to utilise the squad much more effectively.

If we can’t even trust making 2-3 changes then there is absolutely no point with a strong squad

I'm never quite sure whether English native speakers are serious with posts like this. There are some who seem genuinely unaware that a lot of people don't speak English.

no...i wasn't being serious just having some slight fun based on a few of the comments made that talked about young boys and wankdorf. I know english isn't their native language thus they don't have warped minds like the rest of us.

Bailly doesn’t have timing issues though, he has major brain farts. I don’t like either

I hope we make 2-3 changes as players like VdB, Dalot, Martial need games to build up their match sharpness to ensure they are better prepared when called upon. It's a long season and we have a big squad.
I expect there will be a couple of changes but VDB and Dalot are probably too far down the pecking order. The likes of Lindelof and Martial will likely start though.

Will be in the stadium. Just arrived in the city. A fair few of United fans in Bern as it seems. Really looking forward to the match:devil:

i saw the MEN projected lineup....are they fking mental???? did they not learn from last season?

start the group that played against Newcastle and get the game done n dusted as quickly as possible and then look to make changes. If Ole makes one or two changes to the starting XI fine, but not 5 or 6.

Clean sheet and a solid defensive performance would be nice. Been conceding goals and big chances like crazy since the season started.

6th in the xGA table despite playing mostly bottom half teams so far. Do they have any St Maximin / Adama types that can threaten on the break?

Just cause of the blue or just the shading? we've had blue away kits since like 1910 or something.

I mean it's the same as the 1992 kit pretty much.
