I'm very glad Rashford got a goal, hopefully that helps his confidence. However, second half I'd play Sanchez wide right, move Marcus wide left and sub Lukaku on for Mata to play up top. We look a little lost without the target man to work off.
PS) I wish I could mute Martin Keown. He really hates Alexis and Man Utd.
PPS) Romero is nowhere near a top Premier League keeper. If we lost DeGea we'd be f'd.Overall a poor performance but normal due to absence of any link between players.
The midfield trio are the most disappointing today.Keown is bitter and over the top in his Sanchez criticism but he is right in that he has been poor at times. Purely because he’s trying too hard to impress which isn’t a surprise. He’s looked bright though and will obviously be a very good signing.Good first half from Sanchez. Some nice runs into the middle and a couple incisive passes. He's a player that goes for the kill which is good. One complaint is he seems to love that Rooney cross field ball.
Constantly sniping at Sanchez – accused him of repeatedly ignoring Rashford about a minute after he set him for the goal.
He said this is a new phase of his career, not wanting to move so much at every club. Basically a long term commitment to MUSanchez can't really pass further than 5 yards can he? great to have an exciting #7 again though, you can see all the players trying to pass to him (even when better passes are on).Observations:
- Pitch is horrendous.
- Damian is comfortably in the top 5 worst players to pull on a shirt for us.
