Well, there is quite a big question. Mainly in the fact City, Chelsea and Liverpool also have very good teams.

You've also ignored the fact Pogba in the double pivot hasn't worked in the 5 years we've been trying it so not sure why this would suddenly change by leaving Fred as the sole midfielder with no assistance.

Once we have Ronaldo playing then we can probably go with Fred alone for most teams apart from the top ones. What I do not like is the slowing down of our play. We do not play like City and I really do not understand why we try to slow down the game when most of the time we need to up the tempo?

These other sides you mention are irrelevant since they're playing for second place, mate.

I wouldn't really call Pogba's role in this setup a double or a single pivot, it's more a single + double + triple somersault Hadouken pivot, thing. I don't really know what it is if I'm honest, but I'm absolutely 100% positively almost certain it will work.

In his defence, it hasn't never worked. It's just not worked consistently. A couple of his best performances for us have come in that position.

Probably the right thing to do. You can argue Varane in, but Lindelof has been good in both games and better than Maguire tbf in the last game, so I was generally expecting Varane to come in after the break.

Varane needs to start with Jimenez being an aerial threat and the pace and power of Adama. The big question is what does Ole do with midfield, surely he can't start Matic, but will he risk moving Pogba from the left and play Martial there? or does hell freeze over and he starts Van de Beek?

I agree with this. The majority of the teams would be too busy trying to defend against that front 5 than to put any pressure on Fred. And even if they did and scored a goal we would score more and outscore most games. Full on attack, at least against the teams below 6th.
