This is the worst performance of any football team EVER. All the players should be forced to amputate their legs and put up in court for attempted slaughter of the beautiful game. Dan James is exempt from the amputation as it would not impact his influence on the game either way. Poor guy has it hard enough.

Sack all the players and dishonorable discharge for Ole and all the backroom staff. Bring in 15 lads from the Blaize with a few pints in them and some fire in their bellies - they'll outperform this lot.:devil::devil:

This is what some people here sound like.

Really bad half with the usual weaknesses.

Fred alone in DM, Pogba in midfield, James playing, Ole for making the calls and not changing it.

We need Pogba back on the left and maybe VDB or Matic in the middle. This is not working.
    Word.

I truly don’t think Fred has been anywhere near as bad as people think. He’s been like the little Dutch boy with his finger in the dam. He’s being overrun because he’s basically playing in midfield alone. Bruno has been up front and Pogba has been terrible. Pogba just isn’t a centre midfielder in a two. He’s lost it in dangerous positions so many times and just doesn’t win it back.
He had a terrible first ten minutes then has been ok. Pogba and Bruno have been poor. It's clearly an organizational issue. How Bruno is not helping out the midfield is beyond me

We're lucky Traore has the same end product as Dan James. If he could finish we'd be in serious trouble.

Varane, Maguire, Bruno, Sancho. Toys, toys, toys. Ole can have as many of them as he wants and it won't make a lick of difference if he doesn't change his coaching staff and get some people in with actual tactical and coaching pedigree. Fergie got in Queiroz when he realised he needed help tactically when football was changing. Ole has to get an AM with new ideas. How many players does he need before we start having a run of games where the fans, at least in majority, can say, "there's a consistent pattern and threat."

It's absolute shite one half and 2nd Half United another one. We cannot keep on banking on the vast individual quality to pull us out of this stuff. The team has to start winning games as a team.

Fred. Cost me my 11/11 on the prediction and he's costing us in the game.

Any competent player would seriously improve us in that position.

What does VDB need to do get a game? Surely cannot be worse than Pogba in a 2-man midfield.

WTF is up with Shaw. He was woeful last game and in this game he's ignoring Sancho or whoever is ahead of him and just running aimlessly with the ball or taking forever to make a pass.

Need to either make some kind of change, either personnel or shape. Wolves are just walking through the middle unopposed.

Van der Beek for James. Nothing against James, he’s worked hard, but tactically we need a change. VdB to sit alongside Fred, Pogba to the left, Sancho right. We need basic possession retention and ball rotation in midfield.
    This.

Imagine we sign a worldie midfielder and still wouldn't be able to string few passes together. Solskjaer is just a bit clueless in terms of game pattern, the only option for us seems to go through Shaw or hoof the ball forward, no urgency in midfield and ability to pass it through the middle, because of lack of options to pass to and some bad start to the game, we wil struggle more and more in the EPL, other progressive managers can just figure us out by motivating their team better. Sancho has been dogshite, if he wants to walk on the pitch like this, he might as well just go back to where he came from. Intensity is much higher here and we need to work much higher off the ball.

Manager should take blame with the inability to motivate our team and give them clear instruction how to cope with pressure and how to press, really, been nearly 10 years of dire pressing from us, including Fergie last few years.. talent and individual ability will never be enough without grit, determination and some tactical prowess..

I think Sancho will have a better second half once Wolves stop pressing him so hard. He had a few silky moments

Sky really vex me. Fred is by far the worst link in the midfield, giving the ball away, getting outmuscled and pressing out too often when he should hold... but it's Pogba that's been awful? No, it just creates more headlines to blame Pogba. And this constant 'he plays so much better for France'. Why do they not mention at France he's had Rabiot/ Kante to cover for his defensive issues and Matuidi/Kante at the World Cup. Then there's the fools that soak it up! Use your own eyes.
    Bollocks
At least Fred has been running around a bit.
He’s done all of pogba’s running in that 1st half.
Don’t get me wrong he’s been poor on the ball as well but at least the effort is there

For some reason Fred keeps getting dragged around because of Traore and he’s physically out matched in every way. Traore is living rent free in our players heads so far.

Sancho and James off. Matic and Cavani on. Pogba to the left.

Keane is right though. Yeah our set up is shite with no balance and structure, but that doesn’t mean players should continually misplace passes and look lethargic. Everyone and everything is to blame. Which has the bigger impact is what it is, but it’s just been poor all around.

Neves would be a massive upgrade in our midfield btw. He’s exactly what we are missing!

He had a terrible first ten minutes then has been ok. Pogba and Bruno have been poor. It's clearly an organizational issue. How Bruno is not helping out the midfield is beyond me

If the conclusion is that several players are unorganized it strikes me as a coaching issue.

Agree. The only real option is subbing one of the wingers and play Fred + Van De Beek. This is not the right game for Matic.
What exactly has Van de Beek done to suggest that he would fix this mess?

The fact that some Wolves challenges went unpunished while Varane’s was penalised

    He’s just a born winner.

Born winner for shouting needlessly at the referee like a child? I think you’re mistaking winner with petulence. Where was he against Villarreal? He has shown very little in terms of winning and disappears in big games.

James off, Sancho over to the right which was the whole point, Pogba up left where he's of any use and Van de Beek into midfield so we have at least one player who can make a pass in there please.

We can talk about players and new transfers all day long but the worry is that we're still not sure if our manager is of the right calibre to get a tune out of these players.

Many of them look like they haven't been trained.

And why does James constantly cut inside into crowded areas? He's a pacy winger. Exploit his strengths!

Ronaldo would have made zero difference to that performance. That is the worrying thing. It beggars belief what we do on the training pitch because I have never known a team to make other teams look so good as much as we do. Its obvious we are managed/coached to a subpar level.

A top class DM is needed so badly and has been for several years, inexcusable that it has not been fixed especially when we waste 40m on a player who never plays.

Agreed, but we can’t hook our new 73m signing at half time. He needs to build confidence and experience in the PL. he has the tools to do more damage.

That is fair. But he has not been good and seems to spend most of the time walking about.

VDB can’t be worse than what we’re seeing so far. Why not try him in a double pivot with Fred to allow Pogba more freedom in an attacking role. Take off James ffs.
