I can’t believe I’m saying this but James is the least of our problems. I’d be tempted to bring Bruno off for Matic or Donny so we actually have a midfield. We can’t go into the 2nd half 424.

Sancho has been quiet, some tidy play at times but too deep for me, not looking match fit.

That was an horrendous half, very similar to the first half at West Ham away last year as was mentioned earlier in the thread.
Thankfully their end product isn't the best and I don't think they can keep this press and tempo up for the whole game.What's shocking about that Adama Traore solo dribble is how neither Pogba or Fred took him down. As a matter of fact, Paul jumped clear from him.

Really bad half with the usual weaknesses.
Fred alone in DM, Pogba in midfield, James playing, Ole for making the calls and not changing it.
We need Pogba back on the left and maybe VDB or Matic in the middle. This is not working.
This outcome was pretty obvious as soon as lineup was announced. Of course Sancho is poor, he is played out of position, of course Greenwood is struggling - he has no support– Pogba is too far, Dan James is useless, Sancho is out of position. And yeah - Dan James is as useless as Martial. Any time either of them start we are equivalent of playing with 10 players, anybody saying otherwise is just lying to themselves or being delusional.Surely we still have few more days left to buy a DM?
