It's a tactical decision to start James. Ole needs somebody that will track Traore.Sancho and Varane
Dan James being used for the shop window (and to provide some defensive balance I'm sure with his work rate). Also plenty of pace in behind.

Bingo. Got it in one.Not sure why people are so surprised with James. With our injuries and players who aren't match fit yet, it was always going to be one of James, Martial or Lingard. I went with Martial but in hindsight James probably was the more likely (seeing as he was part of the team that smashed Leeds).

Why would you play Sancho on the left to make space for fecking Dan James on the right, while pulling Pogba deep back in midfield? Pogba has been lethal up on the left. Play him on the left, play Sancho on the right and put DvB in the goddamn midfield - how is it not obvious, to anybody but Ole?What does James have on Ole?
