Stupid lineup. Getting beaten by Wolves on top of our recent form is not a good way to enter a final. You cant just switch form on or off. Add the fact we will lose our away record and only end up 5 points or so better than last season and Liverpool will be really close. Yeah last points are kind of meaningless but at the same time it all helps with building a better foundation for next year. Same as getting second or third or fourth. Meaningless in a way but in also important depending how you look at it.

Because being thrown out there against a Premier League side when you've had next to no time with the first team squad to begin with run the risk of giving him a poor introduction to Premier League football. The coaching staff feels he's read to play, that is why he's on the bench. He will have a easier time gettin into the game if he can sit and observe it for a while first. That's why Hannibal doesn't start.

Will be an interesting game with that line up! Ultimately it won't matter for our season, and even if we do win its hardly going to be momentum for the final seeing as it's none of the players who will feature. I'm just hoping some of the young players impress and a debut for Hannibal.

I can remember the top reds justifying giving Phil Jones a new deal. This guy is of no value whatsoever to this club, and it has been like that for years. Yet he is better paid than all footballers in the Eredivisie for example. I really wonder who sanctions stuff like this, there is no club that will ever pay a transfer fee for him, he can't even get to one appearance in a season.

Yeah, it should have been pretty obvious the point you were making.

Whether people agree or disagree with it is another thing, but it was obvious you were meaning the run of results, with mixtures of line ups, has effected rhythm and form and that it's hard to just freeze that for three weeks and pick it up again when needed.

So which top reds were those? New deal was long before you joined, so not sure how you'd know. Maybe you were a top red in another guise.
