Neither did Chong, but he keeps getting chances. Neither does Lingard, but he gets as many chances to prove himself. Neither did Pereira to start the season, but he kept getting chances to prove himself.
Pereira is showing more and more so that works way better. Gomes, I suppose the issue is off field with the contract.

I think the threadmarks May be broken. I’m trying to find all the highlights but it’s not showing any for some reason.

Good game given the squad tbh.

Some critics here are just a bit harsh imo.

Greenwood just needs a bit more speed and strength, he'll become a 100 £m player one day.

Wasn't a fun game, but never expected that. Good result considering the lack of quality in the squad.

Gomes has shown nothing when given his chance.

And the likes of Chong have? There goes that little justification right out the window. He's also had all of one match in his favored position. Gomes might not be ready now or ever, but to act as if he's been given chance after chance is pure revisionism.

Ok, it was a half decent match with this squad, we haven't lost. A replay is better than being kicked up an arse, and a clean sheet as well.

Stop with the 0 shots in target - it's the most stupid stat ever. A team can hit the post 14 times and still have 0 shots on target...doh

To me, without being a prick about it, Harry is not worth more than 40 mil, he's as average as a CB can get.
We should've kept Smalling and invested the 80 mil in the midfield.
    Thank you.

For the others: what exactly does Maguire do £80m worth better than Smalling?

Not the best of second halves. The last 15 or so minutes were disappointing by us as well, we seemed more than happy to just take the draw. With how thin our squad is, an extra game isn't something we really need.

I'm also concerned with how regularly we seem to just switch off defensively and gift them easy chances. This time we got away with it, but we are never going to get anywhere if we keep gifting them goals each match.

    Same old same old

No attacking game plan until Rashford comes on
Can't see it with Chong really, can someone tell me what he's really good at and why it should differentiate him from other young players?
Lindelof as usual shell-shocked when the team is under sustained pressure
Mata non-existent until his free kick
Greenwood invisible in the second half, meh he'll learn
No one to drive the ball from Midfield
    James asleep

I've vip tickets against norwich next weekend. Would rather do a couple of shifts at work than watch anymore of that shit.

Mata will be gutted with the freekick just wide after fooling the keeper.

Pereira is showing more and more so that works way better. Gomes, I suppose the issue is off field with the contract.
Yes, but the only reason why he's shown that is because he was given many chances to fail. With Gomes it's, oh you're not impressing in limited minutes? No more chance for you. Pereira had these same issues as Gomes last season, but he was given chances by Ole which convinced Pereira to sign the contract prior to this season. Gomes is not afforded the same as Pereira got.

20 FA Cup games today and we're involved in the only goalless game. Nice.

Stop moaning, extra game will provide us more cash income and we need that money for this transfer window if right player is available for right price ofcc.

Wolves away will always be a tough game and we came out with a solid point, dunno how people expect 3 when we had zero shots on target.

Think we played well in first half and dominated. Second half wolves had more ball but never really bothered us. Shame we couldn’t knick a goal matas free kick was so close. Don’t understand anyone losing their shit over this game

A good result, not too bad performance with an obviously very weakened line up.

Utterly gutted I have to scrabble around to deal with an extra midweek game though

Its just so WEIRD that we play a game full of reserves and players who have not had first team games in months to weeks, and Ole still gets flak for not playing highpresscountertikitaka. Maybe its just the players who arent playing well enough?

Whatever the result , some people (or better the same people) always make a fuss.
Unfortunately like most teams we have that section of fans too.

listen to the boss, he’s a genius

Thought of this myself just before you posted! Thing is he's right to encourage that in the areas he's talking about. But he really needs to train the players shape and presence in the box when we're in the final third. Currently we're diabolical in this regard.

We'll "never score a goal" if players don't take up dangerous positions. Why is there only ever 1 player central, 2 wide and the rest in positions where they can't be seen or found nor take a shot if they had the ball.

It's been like this for ages and imo it's the biggest issue with our play.

Pogba is the only player capable of making forward passes of any quality. Matic not so much.
Pereira can too, and Fred (as long as no-one is within 5 metres of him) but the main issue is that the forwards do not run into the channel or dive around the corner opening possible passing opportunities.

I'd almost forgotten that Mike Phelan is part of the coaching staff. It's always shots of Ole, Carrick and that guy who looks like Phil Neville's long lost twin looking clueless on the bench.
