I do get that side of it, I wouldn't be so harsh on him if he was a bit-part player or we had enough creators in the team already.
I'll explain. My take on it is, if it was still 0-0, one of the key reasons why that would be, would be because we have no-one in between the midfield & strikers who are able to create properly. I.e. the 10 position. Our strikers have been starved of service this half, it's all been from deep. Okay we are winning 1-0 so everyone is happy, but i'm trying to not be results orientated and see the bigger picture.
That if Lingard recreates these performances over the season, we are likely to struggle. He's a starter, so he should be judged as one. His job first and foremost for me is to create for the strikers.People claiming Wan-Bissaka offers nothing going forward need to watch more of Wan-Bissaka.
