It’s simple - we will not have the ball much. When we do it’ll be up to Pogba to decide if he wants us to win or not.

No matter how exciting our team is this year it’s absolutely unacceptable how reliant on Pogba we are

Can we watch the game before you piss on it?

    Prediction:

A difficult game on paper, and they beat us a couple of times last season. However with that in mind, I'm feeling positive. Defence improved, lots of pace and energy, Martial up top, and with Pogba in the team anything is possible.

    5-0 win

    Pogba x 2
    Martial x 1
    Rashford x 1
    Perreira x 1

I like the team. Think we'll win this comfortably as long as we don't have a man sent off.

Yes agreed. I like the lineup.
But I certainly don't think it will be comfortable. Wolverhampton have an excellent manager and they will make it extremely difficult.
I do believe that we will win though.

No Herrera will be a struggle for us this year. Pogba can't control the midfield whilst simultaneously being further forward to create for us too. We need Rashford's decision-making to seriously improve this season. Because Pogba simply cannot be expected to be as productive as last season with half a midfield.

    He isn't.

Is there a definitive answer on this? I know he signed his contract in Dec 17, and maximum contract length is 3 years so a contract until Dec 20 is possible, however every source I read says his contract expires June next year, do you have reliable info?

Guiseppe Rossi left the club under similar circumstances if I recall.

But I'm sure Gomes will get games this year. It's not like he has much in front of him to prevent that.
the issue with pogba was we needed him , Rossi had way too much talent infront of him as did Pique at the time. Pogba like Gomes at the moment were clearly more talented than the players that were playing infront of them

I'm surprised to see you playing the line-up game! I don't myself, but I always assumed only United fans played.
I take an interest in football in general and as I live in a predominantly United place (Salford) it makes chat about football easier if I read up on them.
I'm in work on Monday and Tuesday nights so will pay special attention to any games involving City's rivals.

I don’t think Wolves are going to dominate possession simply because they aren’t really a team that wants to have the ball for most of the game. They feel more comfortable absorbing pressure and hitting teams on a counter or with the odd attack.

Not sure there is anything definitive as there isn't a page on United's site saying when it expires but his page on transfermarkt says December. I think places are saying it expires in June just because it is unusual for a contract to expire in December.

We're the same, which makes this all the more exciting. I have all the confidence in us getting a result when we are allowed to counter. Not so sure when we have to break teams down.

No because if he did that he couldn't then say he told us so

Being negative is so fullfilling to those who are, because when they are right, they can tell everyone how right they were and that they and they alone hold the key to the teams success. If we win, no one says anything because we won and everyone are happy, plus the negative party gets to play the bigger part and go "I'm happy to have been wrong" or my own favorite: "I'm happy to have been wrong, BUT WE GOT LUCKY"

Being negative is a good winning strategy if you're scared of putting yourself out there and having to admit mistakes sometime.

Probably a 1-1 draw, which would be a decent result all things considered.

Think Ole would definitely take a draw given his history here, but United must not come here with that mentality under any circumstances. That’s Moyes territory.

Call me pessimistic all you want but I don't fancy us at all. That midfield 5 of theirs will just be too much for us.

Midfield is really going to kill us this year but we knew that already.

Good lineup. The one I wanted, with the potential for spaces behind their wing backs. James mettle to be tested. Let's go boys...

Really excited about this - I love that lineup and I reckon we're going to give Wolves a well overdue bumming!

Shaping up to be such a wierd team... wolves simply aren't going to let us counter... But we are so bad with the ball these last 10 or 15 competitive games. We might need a bit of luck to get the break through.

At least we might get buckets of corners from frustrated crosses after failing to break them down. With Magurie we're a threat on corners now.

Anyone aware how quick Jonny is? Will he be able to cope with James
