    We've looked utter shite every game with Weghorst on the pitch since the final.

    Martial's barely any better but there are other options in the squad.
     
    It's actually quite amazing that there are people who watch us and are fine with Weghorst starting. I refuse to believe many people who are actually typing here are watching us.

    Worst passing accuracy in the team while also being least involved passing wise, slowest player in the team, his defensive stats are on par with the likes of Eriksen and Antony, doesn't score or assist, is terrible when team press us, and he is actually horrible in the air. It's actually concering that he is anyhwere near the bench, let alone being a starter.
     
    it’s probably harsh but everytime Weghorst starts I lose a bit of faith in Ten Hag. Hopefully he does well today but I can’t see it sadly.
     
    Had Weghorst in my line up. Makes sense to start him and bring on Martial later.

    I bet Rashford and/or Antony will score.

    Is Weggy the key to Rashford's prior form? Guess we'll find out. He certainly scored quite a few when Martial was out and Weghorst stepped in.
     
    If this was on at the normal time, it would lead nicely into the F1 instead I'll have to have 2 screens going

    Biology is irrelevant. It's not a question of tiredness as to why Weghorst is on the pitch and not i.e. Sabitzer, who at least knows where the goal is.

    And that’s entirely Weghorst’s fault?
    IMO we look even worse when we start with Martial. Not really a fan of playing a midfielder up top either.
     
    Makes good sense with Wout starting. Tire West Ham and sub on a fresh Martial in 2nd half.

    Works better than the other way around and Martial apparantly cant play back to back games
     
    If I was being charitable and saying that Weghorst is starting to deal with West Ham's aerial threat from set pieces... I'd wonder why the feck Maguire and Dalot aren't playing.

    Weghorst must have the worst scoring record in United`s history for an attacker, and still he is in our starting 11. I will never understand this, and for the first time I am starting to dislike a United player just because he's bad. If Martial needs a rest, then start with Sancho, at least he can play football and is fast, which suits our style of play better. Or give a young player like Emeran a chance. At least he is scoring goals for our reserves.

    Sabitzer makes far more sense. I am not saying Antony shouldn't start. This is not a hate-Antony thing. It is a value for money thing. And it is costly mistake we keep making. There comes a point where we had to look somewhere else rather than ETH's old club. There are better value players out there.

    We absolutely do not play with the lump upfront and especially if Bruno gets moved to the wing to accommodate his lumpiness.

    As bad as Martial is, his movement is miles better than the wall-man known as Wout.
     
    Weghorst could backfire. Win this and we are in good shape. So not sure i would have started weghorst.

    Yea for sure we massively overpaid for Antony. He is a 50 million player burdened with an 80 million price tag. But I don't blame ETH or Antony as it was incompetence from the board preventing us signing him at a reasonable price.

    Playing with Martial as your striker is like playing with 10 men. But Wout is worse than that, it's like playing 10vs12. He's a black hole for every counter attack and every cross.
     
    We don’t have many options for striker. Weghorst arguably offers more than Martial generally, in terms of pressing etc.

    I would rather start Pellestri and move Rashford centre
     
    We haven't looked any better with Martial over Wout so yeah all for Ten Hag sending a message about effort.
