Cannot escape the "Groundhog day" feeling yesterday, such a familiar story.
In first part of the game (up to Davids 'brain fart',) we had quietened the crowd, made at least four good chances, two of which most definitely we should have scored, we had almost complete control and played some nice football, if not effective in terms of scoring.
Then something goes wrong, in this case David's mistake and suddenly we turn to 'jelly', West Ham woke up realised they had a chance and they never looked back.
We rallied a bit in the later stages, but by which time West Ham were in 'just defend the Alamo' mode.
Its all old saying but "if you don't take your chances etc." and we have been living that experience in the last few games. I've based my player ratings for the most part in the first half, also because although we didn't play that badly, we were not able to put away a team, who have a semi-final this week and judging on post match comments, they expected a much harder time and were set up to defend from the KO.
