MCT looks like a giant here

You just know on the other side of this photo there is the most glorious of Phil Jones faces

    Team should be...

    -----------------------De Gea-----------------------
    AWB-----Varane-----Maguire-----Shaw
    ----------------Fred----------Matic----------------
    Greenwood--Fernandes--Pogba
    -----------------------Ronaldo-----------------------

Subs: Heaton, Lindelof, Dalot, VDB, Lingard, Mata, Sancho, Martial, Elanga

And Ole will be shocked when Matic is invisible and Fred gets overrun in midfield.

I think we will conjure up some magic from one of the front four to narrowly beat them in an otherwise cagey game where we create little. They're too organised for us to run through them like we did Leeds.

I'm glad they don't have Antonio for this game. I'd be very concerned given how we've started the season if he was fit. Don't think they're the same team without him, he's so central to their attack. Defensively they're quite a weak team so I see us scoring a couple at least. I think we'll win but defence needs to give a good performance. I'll predict 3-1 to us (Ronaldo X2, Bruno)

The performance more than the result on Wednesday was deflating, not sure what Ole will try and tweak here, Mason surely comes back in but in midfield is hard to predict as neither Matic or Fred have looked like comfortable partnerships. It'll also be interesting to see if Dalot plays to start getting some game time to set him up to play the next 3 CL games.

Is it too much to ask that we don’t play shit or get dominated like every other away game this season? Is it too much to ask that we don’t get overran in midfield? Is it too much to ask that we keep the ball for more than 3 passes?

AWB should be dropped anyway. He has had an appalling 2021.

The advantage should be ours. West Ham played last night and they're missing Antonio who's a huge threat. Should be winning this

For whom? We don't exactly have an embarrassment of riches at RB.

Calm your tits, we have only played two, and one of those we were down to 10 men for an hour!

Dalot. We have one of the best headers of the ball in the world up front. Having a right back that can cross is beneficial.

    3*

    Think we'll win this 1-0.

We'll play shit again but Ronaldo will deliver the goods.

Apart from a Win the next best thing would be for Sancho to get an Assist or even better a goal.

Given our problems in central midfield anyone else think Lindelof could be worth a try there?
Surely he’s more mobile than Matic?
    DdG
    Dalot
    Maguire
    Varane
    Shaw
    Lindelof
    Fred
    Sancho
    Bruno
    Pogba
    Ronaldo.

*i think Lingard will start this one, Ole will thow him in for obvious reasons, he is a sentimenal arse is ole... I hope MCT can play...i dont like AWB at all, he is positionally useless and climsy but Dalot is not any better, If MCT doesnt make it Matic will slowly stroll into the team in his place. I'd take a 0-0 now the way we are playing away from home.
*Not sure if Fred can play or not, hopefully not as for all his running he is utter pants on the ball.
*Lindelof central midfield, nah far too nice for West Ham away.

    De gea

    AWB MAGUIRE VARANE SHAW

    MCTOMINAY POGBA
    BRUNO

    LINGARD RONALDO GREENWOOD

    subs- every fecker else

Worried that going Pogba-Matic will leave us open to counters, and also worried that having Matic-Fred would leave us too toothless in midfield to carve up their low block.

We have such an unbalanced midfield, its maddening.

Looking at the training pics, Scott seems to be heavily involved.Maybe he'll get some time on the pitch

I do or McT in something like this

    --------------------‐----- De Gea --------------------------
    --------Maguire ---------------Varane ---------

    DALOT----------MCT /Lindelof ----Shaw---

    --------------Bruno --------------------Pogba -------

    ---Greenwood ---------------------------Sancho-----

    ------------------------Ronaldo -----------------------

either Lindelof or MCT sitting nearly as third Centre half a little further forward

Can we dispel this idea of Lindelof as a DM

Why does it keep getting suggested? Hes never played there before has he?
I think he started in midfield as a youth...it just needs to die now. I'm sure he'd be no worse than Matic given he can't move but that's not the level we should aim for.

So far this season we have been poor in every away game and with this being the toughest so far we need to up our level and nothing less than 3 points is acceptable

    Ronaldo.

Lindelof is a good footballer, he’s just not a good CB. He can pass and tackle and DM may suit him but I would try him in a Carabao Cup game of something. He has some pace but he’s not strong or nasty as a DM should be but worth a shot.

I think we'll see a big reaction. From my, admittedly limited, understanding of Moyes' West Ham I don't think they're going to park the bus. They should at least try and play some football and that really suits United.

I can’t be the only one who thinks McFred will play this? I can’t see Ole picking anything else if McTominay is available.,

    DDG
    AWB Varane Maguire Shaw
    Pogba Matic
    Greenwood Bruno Sancho
    Ronaldo

Optimistic about this one. I think the team will be very keen to bounce back and I question whether West Ham will recover properly in time, on top of that, no Antonio. I’m going for 3 - 0 win for United, Ronaldo to score again.

Didnt West Ham rotate half their players for Thursday. I do think the loss of Amtonio is a big loss for them. Would be nice for us to get another clean sheet.
