These next two games will be tough. West Ham love to give us a game and I'm calling a draw away as a decent result as of right now.
No Antonio, we should be going all out for a win here without their talisman.
Anything other than a win can’t be accepted. The team has to show its title/trophy credentials and this is a great test… best team we’ve come across in the PL so far.

Lingard didn't score in the last game mate, had an assist though..
I don’t know which last game you are referring to but he scored against Newcastle and it was far from’long balls’!
Pogba is credited with the assist even though it was Martial’s dummy that set it up.

"I guess we were tired from Tuesday playing on astro turf with 10 men, it was a long away trip, just couldn't get going. Credit to West Ham, they played really well. On to the next one."
    Why bother watching

Why on God's green Earth would we do that?
I have an idea Ole will lull him into thinking he is a first team starter until he signs a new contract. Then he will disappear or go out on loan again. Its this asset thing the bean counters use at the club. Cheaper than a new signing etc.

People are way too negative about this game. Yes Tuesday was very annoying , and there were some odd substitute decisions but it is mostly a freak result stemming from us going down to 10 men so early and having no answer to dealing with that (which is admittedly not good). We're still clearly the better the team here, and with them missing their best player too, we need to be winning this. Forget all the talk about getting a draw or whatever. With our attacking options we should be getting a few past them, and okay the midfield may not the strongest but we should have our strongest defense back too. Add to that, their playing in Croatia tonight so they'll have to contend with that too, while we've had a few more recovery days.

AWB deserves to be dropped for his current form. Sancho's confidence is also low and I don't think we can afford to start him.

They’re playing the entire national team?
Wow! That should Traveller them then

That’ll really help his confidence won’t it?
Besides I can’t see Fred not starting

Rice and Soucek will slaughter us in midield.

We'll lose count of the amount of times they stride away from Fred.
 he's played them plenty of times and this hasn't happened before. The disrespect to Fred is just stupid.

    No shitting around

    Greenwood, Bruno, Pogba

AWB out, not because of the red card, he simply needs some time to cool down.
Knowing this, he 'll probably start, and Jadon will be in the starting 11 as well

Very lucky West Ham are playing Europa. Should make the game a little easier than having a fully refreshed side even though I’m sure they will make a few changes.

    Ronaldo
    Pogba Bruno Mason
    Fred DvB
    Shaw Maguire Varane AWB

Greenwood has to start and DvB deserves another runout after his good showing in the first half against YB though I doubt it happens. Hope it’s Pogba in midfield if not. Fear for us if it’s Matic.

I hope it's this. It can be Sancho for Pogba too because Pogba has played every game for us and France in full. That's 8 games in 4 weeks, there's no need to start burning him out this early. If he does play it better not be in CM though. And I hope no Matic to start either.

    As opposed to DvdB's?

Dvdb and Matic Vs West Ham midfield doesn't fill me with enthusiasm. Hoping Fred back (and McT as soon as recovery sorted)

it's going to be a meh performance but we'll win.

Feels bad that McTominay is not available for this one in particular. I think the competitive element he brings would have been a big deal against Rice and Soucek who are combative in midfield. It's going to have to be a slightly makeshift solution to that problem.

We can either go with Van de Beek and try and control possession a bit more, or maybe Matic and try not to play too much of a stretched game because he does not excel in those situations and they have some dangerous runners. However, Matic and Fred have been a pretty dodgy combination historically for whatever reason so I'm not sure about that. The final option is Fred and Pogba, which is risky but there is no perfect solution.

Dalot and Donny can't start. They will be eaten alive. Matic has to start with Fred or Pogba for the height he offers during set pieces.

Moyes won't press us high but will be very compact and well drilled. Happy that Antonio is out but they have enough quality upfront to hurt us. Anyone know a thing about vlasic?

Glad we have this fixture in a week where West Ham have an away Europa League game. Antonio missing as well means that anything less than a win will be disappointing.

We need to keep pace at the top as the others have all started quite well and I’m not sure we have the belief to succeed if we were to fall far behind.

Just realised West Ham are playing tonight and will have just around 66 hours of restitution. For once, the midweek program plays into our advantage.
