Pogba has been equally wasteful and ponderous on the ball. He's offered absolutely nothing to the game over VDB. They're both equally shit.
At least in general, VDB is suited to an aggressive press, he did it against a better outfit in Southampton. Pogba on the other hand is consistently shit against these sides (both matches last season too) and in general, this season.
Neville said it himself all of the midfield was awful, you could feel sorry that VDB was the one chosen out of that 3 to give way to Bruno.

I don't play fifa. He played in a brilliant team and was carried by it most of his career. He made some absolutely shocking mistakes worst then this current crop have ever made. If you watched United for more than the minute you've probably watched them for you'd know that. Pogba is a forward and managers are seduced into thinking he can play deep by his 60 yard passes.
I don't know Ole's plan here. West ham were always going to play with high energy so I would think the plan would be to keep the ball and try and pin them back and hope Cavani could outsmart their defenders with a nice run being picked out by telles or martial or vdb.
