He's performed fine in 1.5 of his last three starts. If his current form was so bad he wouldn't be starting today and certainly wouldn't have lasted 90 minutes against Derby.

Id go further back mate. I was derided a bit on here around the end of the season when I said we should be looking to upgrade on Matic and relegate him to a Carrick role - experienced, steady hand to use as a squad option or start in low-key games.
Hopefully they did some practice on the training field because formations won’t fix the structural problems with respect to our attacking.
