Do you know what infuriates me even more? He doesn't give Martial/Rashford chances with the rest of the main team but only chucks them in with the mediocre players like Darmian, Fellaini, Rojo. The minute we actually play our best team they don't get the chances. It's like being deliberately set up to fail. Anyways let's hope to be entertained. Which sounds difficult but we'll see what happens.

    That's basically it.

Even if they weren't good, what are you getting upto by playing Sanchez in a dead rubber game? He's 29, a proven quantity. I'd like to play the players I want to know more about by giving them playing time.

Rashford and Martia had poor games, now play them again and see how they respond. What's there to lose?
What if there is a chance Lukaku wouldn't be at his best for the FA Cup final? Are you happy with we don't try to build a different approach just in case when we have chance when clearly Rashford lack the dimension at the moment to lead the line against a compact defense which Chelsea's style. Rashford & Martial had their chances. We have 2 league games left so it's about time to see how Alexis. And Alexis a his best is known as better in this forward role based on feat, not potential/ raw talent gauge

Mourinho is such a fecking cretin half the time. Drop two young players, who are amongst the most talented at the club, because of one bad game. Does he forget that Martial was on fire until he brought Sanchez in and replaced him in the line up. Instead of playing Sanchez in the one position, RW, where we actually needed to upgrade.

He's just a petty man child.

Interesting line up, intrigued to see how it plays. Cant help but be irked that we finally play two up top and none of them are strikers!

No idea if it'll work but i'm actually excited by this lineup.

Sanchez had his best season up front with Arsenal and Pogba should have a lot freedom, iirc this is the same setup he played in at Juve.

You'll get attacked for that here but you're not wrong

We play shite and without purpose until west ham score. We then play with purpose but still shite and lose the game. Easy!

I hope we put in a performance for SAF

That's your opinion yes, is it Pep's? Possibly not no
Otamendi has 34 apps in PL this season and Aguero or Jesus have shared the FW responsibility because they are both good. And they have 28 and 25 apps respectively in the league

10 mins to go.. Hope all the mad things Jose tries works and we win.
Better finish 2nd with 83 pts than anything lesser

A year or 2 ago Martial and Rashford were our future and we were all looking forward to watch them do great things at United as time goes on. Fast forward a few years in the future with Mourinho in charge and they can't even get 2 games in a row with our main striker out injured.

Apparently it's now commendable on Mourinho part to drop them after one poor game in which they play after being sidelined mostly for a long time. People are actually condoning this sort of handling of our prospects. I swear this crap happening anywhere else and we'd all be laughing how Mourinho is ruining yet other yongsters but because he's here now some people are just lapping up his nonsenses.

    God help us all.
What's really sad for me is the impact of Martial and Rashford two years ago TODAY in the exact same fixture. Martial especially was outstanding and hauled us back into it after the team was performing terribly and we didn't really deserve it but thanks to him we got ourselves into the lead. That day he was the only player who didn't embarrass himself. Rashford scored that beauty in the FA Cup. Fast forward two years and we have this situation with Mourinho. LVG for all his faults will always be the better manager for the youth.

Mourinho talking about just needing a point from the next two games.
Bodes well if you need to catch up on some sleep tonight

Otamendi has started pretty much every game this season and Aguero was a constant starter until his injury, so yes.

Aguero was fit and available for both league games against us and didn't start either, he also didn't start the Champions League second leg against Liverpool either also despite being available so no

Our lineup seems really weird tonight...get a feeling well smash Moysie with our new 3511 formation.

Shocked weve started with this lineup and formation.

We havent started with it before recently...have we?

Yes I'm aware of that but that's for your time anyway

What an awful line up. Is Mourinho trolling his own team? I hope I am wrong, but this has nil-nil written all over.

Not knowing his best 11 is true, you even proved that by trying to be clever and disproving his post.

No i disputed it being a shambles not knowing 3 positions, maybe you shouldn't try and be clever eh

Either he is trying to rile them up and spark some sort of reaction from Martial and Rashford, or he wants to get rid of both of them. His style is confrontational, to try and get players to up their game and I think the attitude is that if someone that he digs up can't take it, then they are out.
Can't bear the thought of them both leaving this summer and tearing it up at other top clubs.

You'll get attacked for that here but you're not wrong

    Much obliged.

The result doesn't even matter. We may win with this line up, we may be toothless. It's somewhat irrelevant when assessing what is an incredibly divisive and short sighted approach by our manager. Martial is nailed on to be the next De Bruyne, Salah etc. He'll go somewhere else, get the trust of an attacking minded manager who lets him express himself, and he'll be brilliant. We can all see it. That's why so many top clubs are sniffing around him.

I'm not in the camp that any player has to play just because they are talented. Talent will get you no-where without hard work. But on the flip side, Mourinho just sucks the joy out of everything. He often doesn't give creative minded players a fair platform to perform. He's rigid, granted tactically astute, but negative. It's hugely detrimental to the bright young attacking talents we have.

It's like Mourinho is going all out for that Golden glove. A solid 5-4-1-0 at West Ham.

That stadium really is oddly shaped for a football stadium. Would have been fun to see that in the Championship.

Hoping for a win more than anything to avoid hearing Moyes blowing his much trumpeted trumpet yet again.

For the second league game against us and the second leg against Liverpool he was coming back from injury so that is why he didn't start. Ridiculous to insist that Aguero isn't the preferred player with this run of starts:
