It’s not just one game. If an attacker is running one on one v a united defender who would you prefer that defender to be jones or Smalling? It’s not a difficult answer if you answer honestly.

Honestly Smalling. Seriously he's our best 1v1 defender and that seems to be one point that most posters (even most of his agitators) can agree on. As I type this Jones just terribly mistimed a tackle on Arnautovic that could've probably got them a penalty if he made contact

They showed one replay of Pogba being held at a corner and talked about it being a physical battle. Smalling does the same and they instantly bring out the "anywhere else on the pitch"

Jones really lucky though. Should have been a penalty for that.

Yes just after the grabbing by Smalling that was actually a penalty. Also jones recovered very well....
