Was crazy outside. Jostling, kids crying. Was verging on kicking off. West ham fans vs West ham fans! I know this area from growing up Many years ago and I've never seen the streets as jam packed as this. It was so busy

Rumours that millwall firm were here. Once I heard that I moved sharpish and made way into stadium!

Atmosphere here is very very intense. West Ham fans are all rock hard men who are drunk and loud. Probably the most intense I've been to in ages. Am wearing neutral colours and singing West Ham songs with all the cockneys!

Yeah because smashing the windows in isn't an attack.

To be fair judging from this thread you'd think they'd thrown molotovs.

Sometimes I think people on here have never been to a football match.

Getting the team coaches windows smashed is hardly commonplace in football anymore and we shouldn't stand for supporters acting like compete bellends anymore, it's ridiculous.

I know Di Canio is a legend of the club but the bloke is an actual Nazi-saluting fascist and it rubs me the wrong way that he's put on such a pedestal. Also I'm absolutely furious that we're being victim-blamed for this and may have gone slightly overboard in my rage.

    Just a teeny weeny bit

Windows being broken is an attack. Hurling bottles at a vehicle is an attack. If one of those bottles didn't make it to the bus and hit a lady in the head... it would be an attack.
Media needs to get a grip and call it like it is. Stop trying to make headlines.

    Here is your headline.

Dumbarse West Ham fans destroy bus before game only for Manchester United to destroy them on the pitch.
Pretty sure the headline will be Manchester United arrive late (again) get an extension to KO and disrupt West Hams preparation and rhythm on their big night.

If something happens you can blame the media and the build up which was deliberate to create an 'emotionally' charged crowd. Listen, if they are so great it don't have to be built up. Who gives a shit if it's their last game there? No one cares. But they are partially to blame for these idiot yobs being stirred up. Smart. This is why there should have been a points dock threat at least in the spurs game to calm things down....but no, and you get people excusing these people while blaming the victim. Very silly.

There were loads of kids about, what if one of them had been hit.

Wouldn't be surprised if their fans attempted a pitch invasion. I am concerned at the safety of our players.

I am confused. I've read reports from a couple different media outlets and somehow it is Uniteds fault for allowing the bus to be attacked or some such. IT doesn't even make sense. Were we supposed to teleport in? Parachute in? I sometimes forget how much everyone hates our club.

"Right outside the ground was the Manchester United coach and it was stuck, it wasn't going anywhere. There were about 10 police vans in front of it and it was surrounded by a sea of fans. I didn't see any bottles being thrown then, I watched for a couple of minutes, but I have seen videos on social media of a couple of bottles being thrown.

"Most fans standing around were gesturing and singing, to say the bus was being attacked I think is something of an exaggeration."
    - Joe Wilson, BBC News Correspondent.

    Seriously wow.

Maybe me and some of my mates should come and not attack your car in the same way and see if you think we're exaggerating.
