    January transfer window permutations
Has a squad selection ever so blatantly hinted at who a manager wants to sell? It would be a surprise if Darmian, Mkhitaryan and Blind are all at United this time next year.

Mkhitaryan might struggle to cling on beyond January. It’s unfeasible all will go but Mkhitaryan - like Schneiderlin and Memphis - is not making squads in the lead up to the winter transfer window. Only he’s not believed to have made the request. It is going to be an interesting six weeks or so.

I am surprised by the absence of big Fella for this game. Was he injured? Did I miss anything?

Stupid to drop Martial after having him for only 66' minutes in the last game. Also, Valencia must be completely recovered from his knee issue. Mata starting is a no for me, after playing a whole game just a few days ago. But it means Mourinho is expecting lots of possession.

Not stupid at all. He'll come on in the second half

If we can’t best West fecking Brom, then we don’t deserve to be fighting for the title.

With or without Pogba, we should be wiping the floor with these cnuts!
Hate to be that girl, but we are not fighting for the title :)

I believe @Rajma was talking about Pogbas initial injury rather than his recent suspension.
Oh now it makes sense, but given we haven't played away from home yet while Pogba serves his suspension I'm not sure how he interpreted my post in a way he did.

My concern is that we have only one match fit attacking player in the bench.

    Don't like Mata wide.
I can understand it when you are counter-attacking, as Jesse's off-the-ball movement is his best asset, but not when you are controlling the game and need pace wide and your players with a stronger first touch, passing and creativity central.

Not a lot of flair or creativity there.

Lukaku playing every minute while Martial gets dropped at the first sign of a blip is pretty infuriating.

Can't see this being a classic.

what's with the outrage over Martial again? He started our last three games, looked knackered against Bournemouth and did the square root of feck all in the game. Rashford did far more in his cameo and deserves the start today. Not sure why any time Martial doesn't start he's automatically back in Jose's "bad books".

anyway, not an overly inspiring lineup, I'd say we'll win this by defending well and sneaking a goal, much like midweek.

Martial has played a lot of football recently and we have a genuine alternative in Rashford who needs games as well

    Bailly the forgotten man
Losing Eric Bailly to injury was a doomsday scenario a year ago, but United have a host of options who have stepped up since his last appearance for the club way back on Bonfire Night.

The Ivorian has almost been the forgotten man of late given the form of Victor Lindelof, Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo and, particularly, Chris Smalling.

Jose Mourinho has reverted back to a four-man backline in the last three games which, tellingly, have all comes against four-man defences.

But three at the back had given the team the right balance away from home in recent weeks,, with Victor Lindelof, Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard all playing some of their best football in that system.

It will surely return at some point.

11/11 wasn't too tough today after Mourinho confirming about few changes in today's starting XI.

    He's a BalonDor winner

Big game for Herrera. Can’t leave Matic to do all the work against their experienced, physical midfield.

How is he forgotten if he's injured?

Herrera needs to have a performance tonight. Can't be Matic again carrying our midfield.

Be interested to know what you would change to make it inspiring then.

I don't think there's much we can change. Pogba is our difference maker and he's suspended. We have to hope Rashford or Lingard can pull out a bit of magic, and that Lukaku actually gets decent service. If you're implying that I'd have Martial over Rashford or Lingard, no, not right now. He did nothing against Bournemouth. Rashford deserves his start, I hope he makes the most of it.

ffs, Love for Martial in here, unbeilevable. We can have 4-0 HT, there will be people moaning about him being on the bench. Don't want to think what would happen if we are 1-0 down. It's like he is f***** Messi. Oh, and there has to be hate beetween Jose and Martial, cause he is on freaking bench.
Stop being fans of a single player, and start supporting whole team.
Oh, Pep, what have you done to Red Cafe?

    rant over
