    I'm happy with that!

Of course no Manchester United match on the weekend is like sex without a blowjob

But it means all players (Especially Falcao, Di Maria & Rojo!!!!) have enough time to recover from their international games and trips + the injured players have 2 more days to be fit for this match

    True.

Players who feature in todays' Getty Images training pics: Lindegaard, Blackett, Rafael, Shaw, Rojo, Jones, Smalling, Fletcher, Anderson, Valencia, Pereira, Carrick, Fellaini, Blind, Herrera, Young, Di Maria, Januzaj, Mata, RVP, Wilson, Falcao + the unavailable Rooney. Usual caveats about some players training but not photographed, while others merely taking part in the warm-up (when pics are taken) but not the main group session.

Boost to see Carrick, Jones and Smalling training with the first team. El Fideo doesn't look like he enjoys the weights!
    Wilson and Pereira
Also Adnan Januzaj and Luke Shaw seem to be starting the next bromance.

I would quite like to see LvG drop Van Persie and play an additional midfielder away from home.

Front 6 looking something like this:

    -------------Blind
Valencia - Herrera - Di Maria
    -------------Mata
    ------------Falcao

Think it just looks a little more solid for our first away game since Leicester.

We should see out first Jones/Rojo pairing in this game and I am glad that it appears Ander will be playing.

I imagine it will be Falcao and RvP up top again as Carrick isn't ready to start and switch us to a 4-2-3-1. I hope Januzaj gets the #10 role.

What's going on with herrera then? Seem somewhere saying he might wear a corset thing to protect his rib.

I really doubt we will get this line up, but I will love it if LvG fields the line-up below.
    ---------------DDG-----------------
    -rafael---Jones----Rojo--------shaw-
    ----------herrera----blind------------
    januzaj-------mata----------di_maria
    ---------------falcao---------------------

    Bench:
RvP, Fellaini, Smalling, Blackett, Lindegaard, Carrick, Young

Shame that we lost or draw to teams that are not even the worth. C'mon lads unleash the power over Baggies.

I'm not sure what our record is but i enjoy MNF, can see it following the usual pattern we'll look amazing for 60-70mins and then we'll invite pressure but i think di maria, mata, rvp and falcao will be too much for them.

Jones definitely back and fit? A Rafael, Jones, Rojo & Shaw is a very exciting back line to be honest, very young too so if they turn out to be as good as they sound on paper we'll have them for another 8 years at least!

Lets pray and have them for five games in a row first and worry about 8 years later. Knowing our luck, 5 will injure themselves while they rub soap over their balls and 2 will injure a hernia while they wank to the chelsea physio.

thats worrying. it implies lvg still has hope and there is a role for him.

Whilst I'm not a Fellaini fan, I don't see the bad side to van Gaal at least giving him a chance seeing as though the window is shut. He's still a member of the squad.

LOL yes. Our defenders are made of glass and I certainly wouldnt like to have P.Jones for 8 years. Imagine all the injuries he can accrue.
Jones is a decent player but due to his injury problems, he just isnt a viable solution for us.
The key to any defence is to play many consecutive games together. This allows the players to understand eachother and their individual roles/abilities.

And dont forget, Rafael is due to get injured any game now.

In a way, it is just as well that we have huge gaps between games, otherwise our injury problems would be even worse and we'd probably end up playing a back 4 of our U18 team.

Nah it means he is a great coach and knows a lot more about a players [Fellaini's] ability or lack therof than you or me.

    Normally I'd agree with you.
But when it comes to Fellaini, given the amount of time he has been at the club, I've seen nothing of him that makes me think he will "make it" at Man Utd.
Di Maria, Blind and Herrera needed just 1 game to show that they could play for Man Utd.
Fellaini just isn't suited to Man Utd.

Personally, for his own sake, I hope he opts to leave because coming on as a sub and doing a bad job and knowing that he's done a bad job cannot be good for his mental health.

On MUTV they are showing LvG talking to Fellaini a lot in practice. Looks like he is getting a lot of instruction.

I'd imagine it went down something like this:
"Fellaini the janitor will be cleaning the dressing rooms after the match and he was asking if you mind if we can use your head as a mop again". "Sure thing gaffer". "Thank you Marouane, you are a key player in our cleaning philosophy."

Do we have to play jones considered he'll most likely come out injured before the final whistle?!

I thought Carrick was playing for the U21's next Friday, so won't feature for the senior team before then.

My God, I can't bear these international breaks. 2 weeks without United playing is bad enough, having the game on Monday night just prolongs the agony!

Really should be beating these comfortably, players are coming back to fitness, LVG spending more time with them to implement his ideas.....I'm going for a convincing 3-1 win, although I'd happily take a win with a clean sheet to boot. Most excited about seeing Mata in behind Falcao and RVP.

    De Gea
    Rafael Jones Rojo Shaw

    Blind
    Di Maria Herrera
    Mata

    Falcao RVP

I know! I am really hoping for a good FA Cup run so at least we get a healthy doze of Manchester United from December to May.
