It might be a coincidence, but I think in general the guys who have played/been educated in similar systems by good coaches seem to be doing well so far under Amorim, which is Mount (Chelsea, Tuchel), Ugarte (Sporting, Amorim) and Hojlund and Amad (Gasperini, Atalanta). Onana should be the other after his time at Inter, but I haven't noticed his distribution improving (it's good apart from the horrific errors) and from what I recall at Inter, his best quality as a passer was hitting Lautaro/Dzeko/Lukaku with their back to goal around the halfway line and that's easier to do with 2 forwards and not 1.Jesus! Højlund is essentially our only true center-forward. Rashford is more effective as a winger, and Zirkzee operates more like a No. 10. While I believe Højlund has immense potential, we still need a top-class striker to lead the line, with Højlund taking on a rotational role as he continues to develop.These wasteful counter attacks just shows the quality of the teamwhy do we never learnOur front players are just dimDeary me these counters we are messing up is criminal.Our players are stunningly bad.
