Oh good, at least they confirmed the situation with the Wolfsburg defence before they called it

I think we could still win this if we can keep going forward like we are. I think we've played well aside from the defence.

The decision was absolutely correct. The only weird thing was that the flag was very late, but I guess the referees were deciding if it was offside or not (considering that Mata didn't touch the ball).

Hey you just keep repeating the same line you repeat every time you post. And remember the secret is to keep banging the rocks together.

The forum is a place for people to express themselves; if you don't like it, join rawk, the place where they don't allow members to post on match-day threads. While I am entitled to my say, I am going to continue to call Van Gaal out.

    This is a weird game.

P.s didn't they change the offsids interpretation this season anyway so it's correct to call even if they don't touch it? I think it was right to disallow it tbh, even if it wasn't handled well. Mata is easily distracting the keeper there.

Whether it was offside or not, the goal was awarded. The linesman didn't put his flag up and then changed his mind 3 minutes after their keeper had a hissy fit.

That decision was straight out of the Sergio Busquets refereeing handbook.

Van Gaal is hiding behind the young players and using them as an excuse for the shower of shite that we are. Playing the two current full backs is a fecking joke.

Wrong decision because the linesman didn't make the call at all. Wolfsburg players did. Which is absolutely fecking absurd.

You don't know that, it's possible that the assistant was talking with the referee from the beginning.

This sport is a farce. That's the difference between us staying in the competition or not.

No it isn't. It was rightly ruled out. Mata is in the flight of the ball and throws the keeper off.

The difference on is going out, is our utter shiteness and clueless coach.

Why play Fellaini as a CM, he's useless there. The only reason to play him is puntball and we haven't done any of that so far so what's the point of playing him? I think we will have to rely on CSKA.

We can be bitter as we want about the offside but we can score against these cnuts!

The linesman really screwed up on this one.

    Either give it or don't.

Seems he changed his mind once the players went over to him to complain.

Sure. But the linesman only made the decision after 2 Wolfsburg players ran out to him to point out his fault. Bollox.

I'm sorry but if you saw or players do the same thing successfully you wouldn't be moaning.

Someone on this forum - and I can't remember who - said to me at the beginning of this season that injuries can't be a reason we have a big squad... because what if we don't get any injuries?

I think he was being deadly serious too.
To be fair 7 players should be enough to cover 2 spaces, 8 if you include Blind, don't you think?

It's the right call tbf. Mata clearly had an impact on how Benaglio was going to approach the cross.

Can anybody explain to me why Fellaini is starting over Carrick? That makes no sense to me at all. Furthermore, why the feck isn't Young coming on for Darmian? I'd love to Borthwick to come up with a Macheda moment, but it's asking a hell of a lot to have both of our fullbacks playing in our their second game each in a vital CL game.

Can't fathom that Louie van Gaal still has supporters left.
It's so bland, and shit it's insane. Truly hope they fire him and he retires, I don't ever want another team to have to go through his shit "style" and "philosophy".

Can we not have Fellaini ever starting for us again? He's like a wall on square wheels

fecking hell. £250 million spent and we have to resort to fielding all of these unheard of youngsters.

Even Lingard, is he on the pitch because he's an exceptional talent or is it simply because we have nothing better?

That cnut Van Gaal's stripped the squad of all it's depth. Nani, Rafael and Hernandez could all have been useful tonight.

I didn't know Wolfsburg's CB were also reffing the match.

Not a bad half from us in attack but you can drive a train through our midfield tonight, Fellaini is all over positionally and Bastian has been caught flat footed more than once.

Still think we can get at least a draw here, hopefully CSKA hang on in Eindhoven.

We were robbed of an equalizer - I don't necessarily disagree with the call, but find it suspect it wasn't made until great protest from fans and players, and that it took a loonnng time for that flag to come up.

More concerningly, we've seemingly forgotten how to defend. That was supposed to be our strong suit, no?

    It's £250m and only £150m net.

Considering the shit squad we had that is not that much money.

£150m is about what Neymar would cost.

We need to spend a similar amount again minimum.

Yeah considering utterly dreadful piece of shit squad that won us the league at a canter in 2012-13 we should have spent £800m to even have a chance. We should hate every single member of that team, hateful inexpensive cnuts.

Mata was nowhere near the ball, not in the line of sight of the goalkeeper, not near any defender and nobody even reacted to him, so how is he interfering with play? That move would have played out the exact same if he wasn't there.
