Lingard, apart from his goal, has been Lingard.

    It's Tranmere, ffs

He’s ran the game in number 10/8. Everything has come through him.

Stop saying its only Tramnere. Nobody is saying he’s world class, he’s balon’dor. People are rightly praising he had a good game.

    Just enjoy It.

Greenwood lacks pace and physical presence. Hope get develops as he grows. Otherwise talent will get him only this far.
I don't think his pace and strength is the problem. Its almost as if he won't believe in himself until he has a goal. He looks like he suffers from anxiety/lack of confidence.

He was alright but he gave the ball away a fair amount too.

Jenas only gave it to him to give him some confidence as per his stupid speech.

Anyway, this won't do anything to change him as a player.

Last game Ole said that players were tired and that it was a reason Burnley won the game. Now there is a chance to rest some players but instead a lot of first team players are starting.

Against a league one relegation side, is it really needed to play all these proven premier league players and be 5-0 up at half time? Wouldnt playing with 2 centre backs and Gomes playing instead of Maguire be a better option?

    We won 6-0.
    Dreadful lineup

LVG didn't care about opposition. He could make us shit against anyone. The mark of a true master.

Didn't we draw 0-0 with either league 2 midtablers, or even non league?

His rule of don't shoot unless it's guaranteed to be a goal made for some shocking stuff.

Yeah such respect.. i'm sure they'll go out for a pint afterwards

    footballing einsteins

We definitely need some sort of Hunger Games style purge on here.

Delete all of the posters you quoted for starters. Utter nonsense. Imagine slagging everything off before the game has even begun!

It wont change him as a player. And my assessment of Lingard has nothing to do with Jenas’ comments.

But it was fairly obvious that everything went through Lingard today and he was largely responsible for most of our attacks. It finished 0-6. I’d say he can lose the ball once or twice. Most number 10’s lose the ball once or twice as they’re attempting more daring passes to create golden chances.

    We won 6-0.
    Dreadful lineup

You really dont get it? This team could have been a premier league starting line up... only Dalot doesnt start premier league matches. The score shows that it clearly wasnt needed to play that many premier league players.

Romero had nothing to do really, Dalot looked ok, Shaw looked better pushing forward more, hope that spurs him on to do the same in the prem, Maguire excellent, Lindelof very good, Jones did ok, but he got skinned second half, so not really good enough, Pereira same as usual, worked hard, ran, tackled some great little bits of skill, then gives a poor pass, Matic looked class, but nearer his pace this type of match, Lingard, great goal, ran a lot, but his first touch is abysmal, and hasn't got the ability to pick a pass or execute it, read too easily at times, by Tranmere, Martial, again a typical performance, looks brilliant at times, but occasionally disappears, would continue with him, but needs to be calmer in front of goal, Greenwood had some nice touches, but got robbed a bit too easily sometimes, but it's all a learning curve for him, Fred was good, Chong great in little spells, not great in others, but like Greenwood, on a learning curve, Williams was good. Overall, on a pudding of a pitch this was a good overall performance.

The score a couple of days ago shows they are capable of beating a PL-side if you don't take them serious. Why risk it? Finished them of early, made some subs, and had a 45 minute relaxed training session in the second half. Perfect, really.

......."Carrick you know, hard to believe it's not Scholes".

Where did that chant even come from. It is EASY to believe, as Scholes was on a totally different planet to Carrick. Has to be up there as one of the most cringey chants we have ever had.

As far as I recall it's from when Scholes retired. Everyone was very worried about how the team would fare but Carrick stepped up and was consistently brilliant.

    It's not cringey at all.

To be honest in my memory every game was 0-0 under him. I think we did draw 0-0 with a league 2 team in the FA Cup though.

Been a fairly crap season so far and today was fun, but some huge positives from this year are Greenwood, Williams and the leveling up of Rashford. Greenwood has the potential to be world class, he's got it all, Williams has quality and fire, passion for the club, and Rashford has been one of the best strikers in the world this season.

Didn’t watch the game today but you can’t really have too many complaints with a 6-0 win.

Mom, why did Americans changing it? we gave you a perfectly adequate language. Don't get me started on colour.... Flipping color
Well the "u" was extra, so we fixed it for ya. Maybe you should not have diluted words with unnecessary letters to begin with ;)

They'll say it's just Tranmere but I don't care, our players needed their confidence back, some goalscorers needed to score goals, you can call this a mid-season training game.

Point is, we'we won, we're ready for the derby game, it's already on our mind!

Pretty sure we were 0-0 at home at half time about 10 times on season, with half of them actually finishing 0-0!

Honestly, other than it being City and us wanting to get back at them, we are wasting time trying to turn around a lost first leg of a fecking League Cup. Would much rather us save the energy for the PL game against Wolves over the weekend.

What was lost? Come on now, we need a big win to get us going, that might be it. If you don't try you'll never make a big comeback.

    Surrender was never our way.

I agree, but we have a paper-thin squad and we cannot afford to lose the weekend PL game against Wolves. Winners have to be smart, not just emotional.

They beat Watford from the Premier League even if Watford wasn't at full strength.

It's pleasing United made light work of it for once and broke a record or two. Three of our back five even scored which makes it very funny considering the comments before the game.

I don't care much for the league cup. FA Cup and being the club that has won it the most is still a thing for United and probably most of the fans.

When I posted it he was just standing next to Martial on the edge of the box with the left wing empty and Matic looking for a pass. Williams would have been doing everything he could to make a diagonal run and exploit the space. We then lost the ball and he didn’t even bother running back.

so your judgment was over a 30 second bit of play rather than the whole time on the pitch.

funny you mention Williams as an excuse when he was doing exactly the sam entomb against Burnley just more often.

We're suppose to be able to play 2 games a week anyway, and European games have not started yet. We can't bubble wrap this team, they need to be put to the test this season, those who can't cut it must be get rid off with no emotion.

Yes, made a joke about Shaw’s lack of movement based on something I saw rather than waiting to watch the entire game before making an objective decision whether to make the joke or not based on his performance over the full match.

Apologies, I’ll be more considered and critical in my joke choice next time.
