Well if you thought that Lindelof and Shaw made a Nestaesque type of convincing performance lets just agree to disagree
There is quite a difference between their performance being "Nestaesque" and needing to drop one of them to play an injured centre midfielder in defence. :wenger:

Nuance in football discussion? You're crazy.

Top four is beginning to look a little more secure ngl

There’s been so many meltdowns this season that Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs have all got away with utter shite because the next weekend someone else out shites the other one.

Ryan Mason appointment is not new. He was interim after Mourinho sacking. And he knows the club.

    It's Spurs, lads.

Yeah, that's the team I was going to post as well.

Definitely think, with plenty of CM options, we should be resting Eriksen after three starts in 8 days so soon after his return. And Fernandes deeper, with Sabitzer #10, is the alternative I hope we go with.

I'm torn as to whether I'd prefer us to stick with Shaw LCB and Dalot LB, or whether to bring back Maguire and move Shaw back to LB. I think, with Varane and Martinez out for much / all of the season, then we will need to rely on Maguire to play some games so best for his confidence to come back into the team sooner rather than later and show some trust in him to perform?
If we are playing like we did yesterday, Maguire will be fine. I'm pretty sure he would have had a good game as well the way we played against Brighton, and maybe we could have denied them some of the great of opportunities they had on headers as well. We were actually lucky not to concede.

Fernandes seems to be a doubt, however, with his ankle injury.

    Ryan Mason - masterful technician
    Lads it’s still rudderless Spurs!

An away game... let's hope "it's Spurs lads" and not a repeat of what was seen away to Liverpool,City,Arsenal,Newcastle,Brentford and Aston Villa this season

Tottenham have the 5th best home record in the league however their results against this seasons top 4 at home.

Beaten 2-1 by Newcastle in Feb
Beaten 2-0 by Arsenal in October
Won 1-0 against Man City in Feb

So they’ve got a new interim  How many times this season have we come up against a team that’s just got a new manager

Anyone read Levy's official statement regarding the Stellini exit?

    "COYS, Daniel"

london clubs are a mess....Chelsea is on their 4th manager of the season and Spurs on their 3rd of the season

No excuses for not at least getting a point against that mess.

New interim or not, it's going to be very difficult after the hiding they took yesterday. They will play ultra-safe now. Gonna be a frustrating game.

I've lost count of the number of clubs that have looked to have their 'new manager bounce' game against us this season. I guess being the biggest club in the world with the TV audience it brings gs has some drawbacks...that is something City fans can never get over. Forever in our shadows.
