Woah that's some volley, especially if you consider he couldn't know if defender will get it or not

He already knew. Was already preparing the shot before the defender even jumps. He has a PhD in football physics.

I agree but the notion that Ronaldo was the problem on here is one of the stupidest takes I've seen ever on this forum.

Ronaldo is the last "problem" on this team.

He was definitely a problem in the set up we had, that is on Ole because the balance of the team was borderline suicidal before, this is more practical, but it will lead to some whinging about guys not getting a chance.

It wasn't on the ball what I said. Defensively I mean
yeah that’s fair he’s clearly playing as more of a midfielder today, no surprise we’ve been better in possession

Gary Neville believed that we will win the league if we get Kane and not challenge with Ronaldo. Ronaldo is showing again why he is superior. Kane has been anonymous so far. Glad we got Ronaldo.

Even at his current age Ronaldo is a better player than the currently waning version of Kane

We’ve resembled an actual football team today!

I’m not AWB’s biggest fan but he’s played ok but got a hammering in this thread.
Decided not to dial in to the thread. AWB has been arguably our best player.

Good half, the players look like they actually know what they are supposed to do. Good width from the wingbacks, good long passing from the back and good pressing by the midfield three. Maguire still looks a bit slow in releasing the ball and the two corners were too close for my liking but other than that, Spurs really haven't had a sniff. Just get the three points and move on.

Surprised Son wasn't dying on the ground looking for VAR when we scored

Donny for McT would help (never gonna happen in milion years)
Maybe some pace up top to play for the break? Ole will probably bring Rashy in minute 80.

It was an alright half, but I would still like our attacks not to rely on % crosses and hollywood balls from Bruno, which won't happen with Ole at the wheel.

Moaning if we're losing, moaning if we're winning. This place is hilarious

Salute to those of you enjoying yourselves today. That's what it's about.

After a 5 nil loss and City and pool dropping points id take 3 points and our worst performance of the season if needed. Ole in or ole out, whatever happens, wins are the only thing that counts right now

Think Kane's attitude stinks. We know you are disappointed, but Spurs pay your wages, get on with it.

His form has been awful for a while though, even for England. A bit like Sanchez before he joined us I think.

It tells you a lot when rival fans are cheering a Utd goal.
    Dont delay the inevitable.

As usual, our goals are coming from a moment of individual brilliance, rather than due to a system of play. We may have edged it so far, but we’re only ahead because Davies missed his header.

What do you think you’ll see every week if Conte is hired?
Conte plays a system that's more attacking than this. But this is still a lot better than the last couple weeks so I guess its an improvement

If only we accepted our weaknesses last weekend and played 3-5-2. I’m not saying we would have won but I doubt we would have lost 5-0. Sometimes you must accept you play better opposition.

Look way better defensively. Much better structure about us here. It is against Spurs though so it's difficult to judge. They are abysmal.

We can take points off of three teams in the big six today if we can hold this lead. Massive second half.

Ive noticed a lot of people don't know football on here. Blows my mind

Benching Ronaldo makes a lot of sense if you want to do a high press. But as we are not able to do that anyway it's completely daft.

Dont think i have ever seen Ronaldo look so gutted to score a goal.
    Dont blame him either.

A beautiful, classic Ronaldo goal, fair play. Might be the way for the future, make it as tight and as awkward for the other team and just have Ronaldo feeding on scraps and hope to win games that way.

Meh .. I don't know why we have AWB, DDG, Fred and McT starting. Everyone of them is poor on the ball. Matic should have started today .

Anyways nice half from AWB though. Him and Varane are the only players who could come out with their heads high. Ronaldo , except for the goal has been poor. Spurs is there for taking. Just put them to sword. Bring some pace upfront and a midfielder who can actually pass.

AWB is not a wingback and even against a poor team that confirms it.

After a 5 nil loss and City and pool dropping points id take 3 points and our worst performance of the season if needed. Ole in or ole out, whatever happens, wins are the only thing that counts right now

    I'm totally with you.

I was starting to get down about our results and performances, I love solskjaer, but was doubting him and still am. But winning games is what it's about first and foremost.

Good half. Much better defensively. Still look a bit shaky on set pieces but all in all its better. Look to have a better balance. As I said, we will always create chances with our attacking talent.

Special mention to AWB who I feel has been our best player. Constant outlet for us.

What if he wins all of his remaining games, should he be sacked then?
If there was even a remote chance of that, I wouldn't want to get rid of him in the first place.

As it is, even if he goes on a run like he did during his caretaker period, I'll know we'd almost certainly go through another dreadful run like the one immediately afterwards.

It is like watching shite vs shitter. Most boring half I ever seen in a while. Two most tactically clueless and inept team in the league

Decent first half, look solid defensively. Good tactical set up from Ole, and the coaches have done the job on the training ground. Team working hard for each other and the manager. Great to see!
    Yeah agreed!

Makes me more frustrated that it doesn’t happen consistently. Why have we constantly gone through period where our players look like they’ve downed tools, only to show that they can indeed grind it out?

The goal was typical Bruno and Ronaldo these days. Messed up the pass and finish respectively then seconds after it's world class.

The mentality on them both is something else, we need more of it within the squad.

With 7 at the back. Jesus if you want to see this week in week out go and support Wimbledon
If you’d rather watch every team run riot through us then… To be fair Shaw and AWB have been two of our most progressive players so not sure how you can say it’s a back 7 either

Didn't expect us to have the ball as much as we did, we're playing the system well but it's just not what the club is about... it feels wrong. Happy to be winning though, makes a change.

Luckily their goal was offside because had they gone ahead we would of had to change things almost certainly.

Set up nicely to get a Rashford or Sancho on and hit them on the break. Tottenham have been very poor.
