You could hear Souness giggling in the back ground. HahaNo holds barred.
Spot on with his Maguire impression.
Loved the way he calls them out.

I can't lie, I'm pretty angry at that lineup.
You don't lose 5 nil at home to Liverpool and then pick all the same worst performing players in the next game. Who is getting punished here? Greenwood and Rashford?
He could've gone:
De GeaWe wouldn't have been any weaker and it would send a message as to the standards expected at United.
Bailly Varane Maguire
Dalot VdBeek Matic Telles
Bruno
Cavani Ronaldo
That will happen if we are leading by a goalI think he means 5 defenders and 2 defensive mids, plus a keeper.
Could hardly get more defensive unless we took Bruno out and brought Matic in.
And maybe switched Ronaldo for Lingard.
Rightly so. Conte and Keane make this team win a League. I firmly believe this.
The talent is in the squad. They need direction and to be focused.
Would have been better playing McTominay as CB and VDB in midfield.
What did he say?Telles Instagram post is interesting.
He only has himself to blame. Last season he was given leeway because it was ‘only’ players like Matic, James, Amad etc. on his bench. This season he has one of the most stacked sides in Europe and he still refuses to move from his underperforming players. The only players that deserve to be disregarded are Mata and maybe Lingard as they're surplus to requirements.
The rest of the squad are worth a game or two.
It's shocking use of the squad. To put it in perspective Fergie could win a League with Anderson, Cleverley and Fletcher type players.
Not all winning teams need 11 superstars in the lineup.
He should pick 11 players out of a squad that among the best in the league,
why is he getting beat 5-0 anyway?
Look at that bench ffs we're playing like shit and he's picking a team full of defensive players who are out of form (Maguire, Shaw, Fred, McTominay, AWB) I wouldn't mind but Spurs are worse than us and we've gone their not to lose.
That will happen if we are leading by a goal
do tellTelles Instagram post is interesting.
yeah I get it, but there still has to be a plan. How are we going to transition with zero pace up front? If Spurs then know this, then there's no fear for them on the counter, and they can push up in our half at will. It's a patchwork job to an ongoing problem. I get why he's doing it, but it's also... 3 years in, abandoning what he's been trying to do and going with more defensive players to try and get a clean sheet and experience up top. Not pretty for sure and not sustainable for anything more than just 1 game.
He's picked 9 of the 11 that played against Liverpool.
I’m starting to feel this way for the squad too, I’ve always been a ‘take your chance when you come on’ kind of person but look at that West Hame performance in the LC, how can we expect more when they don’t play.DVB has probably given up by now. Bailly and Telles too.
It seems like he's thrown out any semblance of a plan and is relying on his big-name players to step up for him today.
I don't see how Bruno, Cavani and Ronaldo are better options than Sancho, Greenwood and Rashford in this counter-attacking setup.
How is it cowardice?
What lineup would you go with in fairness?
Love to see Sancho play instead of AWB as wing back. But I guess that would be too much for Ole to get his head round. That lineup doesn't really inspire confidence, severe lack of pace up front. Hope AWB and Shaw stay wide and do their jobs in getting the ball towards Ronaldo and Cavani.
It was only 5-0 because Liverpool decided to save their energy. It was far worse than your typical 5-0.5-0 games happen every week. It's football.

Yeah. I really think if we swap the front 3 today with Rashford/Greenwood/Sancho we'd be better off. It's a bit sad because we have some quality players but even the ones who perform well are half detrimental to the team because Ole can't coach them properly. I love Bruno, but Ole can't coach him properly so he isn't always exactly a plus.yeah I get it, but there still has to be a plan. How are we going to transition with zero pace up front? If Spurs then know this, then there's no fear for them on the counter, and they can push up in our half at will. This lineup is complete suicide.
it’s definitely a “save my job with a hard fought draw” lineup. But I think given how last week went, they need to go back to what they were somewhat good at (a while ago now I must say) ie counter attacking.
Probably wouldn’t have bothered tuning in if it was another 4231. Don’t want to see it ever again whilst he’s still in charge.
I can’t stand Maguire anymore. He talk the talk. He is just happy to collect his check every week. No bottle, not a winner. And he is the captain.I love Keane's mentality. He doesn't accept mediocrity and bullshit excuses.
good to see hard work is rewarded with a zipped face emojiWhat did he say?
