Don’t know but is this the same ref that we had at Stamford Bridge when he bottled giving us a clear stonewall penalty for a handball by Hudson-Odoi?

I don't blame the ref. As soon as it goes to Var he is left in a position where he can't Ignore the contact without being raked over the coals. Pre var no ref ever gives that, would not even be an issue because we all instinctively understand it is not a foul.

Var is doing more harm than good, the game is simply less enjoyable and further from the amateur game than ever. That is more important to me than a vain pursuit of fairness.

This for me. I'm far more aggrieved at this ref buying the Spurs players' fannying about, not least Rodon who I was made up to see Cavani digging out.

Scott unfortunately will have to learn to keep his hands more to himself; don't stretch them out behind you after you've beaten a player as you're liable to get harshly pinged on VAR. We should defend their goal much better as a team, no excuses.

There specialist in cheating going down easy claiming everything. VAR is reviewed by on field ref what foul he sees that makes a difference I dont know. If seen this ref in few games and hes a ref players cam get at hes weak

Not even bothered about the result now I just want us to kick the shit out of them for 45m

What are the pundits saying in England ?
In France, they think VAR is a fcking joke.

But.. but.. it is just the awful English Fa and refs making it shit.

Utter garbage, keep it for goal line and maybe for serious foul play, train better refs for the rest.

Absolutely embarrassing that those fecking clowns release a statement analysing how McT has fouled him. What has happened to the game

2 minutes earlier Rashford was hit in the face - No free kick
Then Soon is hit in the face - Goal disallowed

pogba also strolling back for their goal. he is a lazy cnut at times - but overall we started much too slowly again. when we started fast against City we were difficult to live with

It was a foul guys, totally right decision to disallow the goal. If it had been a utd player get hit in face in same situation you would say the same.
Well, Rashford had the same foul against him and nothing happened. He got hit in the same way in the face.

So basically Son was rewarded for trying to grab a player. Great VAR.

I am not sure how the players or coaches have the restraint to not throttle this ref, I've not been this angry at a ref in forever - not even the Granda ref who was atrocious.

Forget the absolute joke of a reversal. Rashford gets taken out on edge of box play on, Son throws himself to the ground against Rashford and gets a free kick. Hjoiberg pushes Bruno in the back and Bruno gets called for a foul.

Need to turn this around and Ole needs to get himself a touchline ban after and flat out call out what a pathetic ref he is.

And I thought diving and play acting are a yellow card offence nowadays? Spurs players have been doing this all game so far and none were booked.

Every pundit in the studio says no foul.

Going on reddit, Twitter, other social media, I can’t find anybody else who thinks it was a foul. I think the referee might be the only person in the world who thinks it was.

Can't believe what I'm hearing. Studio agrees it's a foul on Son and a rightfully disallowed goal, and discussing if it should be a direct red card???

Another problem is Ole - yet again shitty defensive setup. Bring on Amad

How are players supposed to function if the referees feck up every game without any consequences? These players are playing two games every week for months the least they can expect is the officiating to be competent. It'll take a great effort from the players to get into the right headspace to comeback for the second half knowing every Spurs player will be diving for 45 mins trying to get bookings.

I don't know what to expect from the second half. I hope Ole goes ballistic in his post match interview regardless of result. I don't care if it looks petty.

Let's be honest Son conned the officials, foul my ass. Spurs also conned the ref to get Martial sent off in the match in October.

On the goal conceded, where was Wan-Bissaka?

Surely Son wasn't getting to McT, so how was his brutal murder linked to us scoring? "Bashed" or not, he wasn't getting the ball, so Surely he shouldn't be included in the ruling it out. Perhaps yes if they were both jumping for a ball or side by side, but they weren't

If Mctominay fouled Son then Son fouled him first

McT needs to be replaced at HT, spurs will target him to be sure
This must be the mankiest spurs team I've seen

We got robbed in the first half against Burnley and lost our heads then went on to win, hopefully the same happens today against a similar team.

Going on reddit, Twitter, other social media, I can’t find anybody else who thinks it was a foul. I think the referee might be the only person in the world who thinks it was.

I know some deviant Tottenham fans who I'm certain will be sure it's a foul.
It's football, it's the most biased game in the world.

Son has been and always will be the dirtiest player in the Spurs team, arguably the league. A good example of what you can get away with when you are a quality player.

I'm hoping, probably naively, that we come out and absolutely batter these shit-houses second half. Would be so fecking satisfying.

Fear we'll just be sluggish and rash, culminating in a red card and a loss.
