Ultimately, I think that's what Ole wants to do.

Unfortunately, our attacking players have let us down in games such as today.

One of those DMs can be Pogba or someone who can contribute to attacking play with decisive passing. Having both so limited is a massive hinderance in progressing the ball.

I'd argue that. Liverpool had 3 defence-minded midfielders and won top trophies.

They relied on their front three and full-backs to create/score goals, which they did.

I guess you could argue that wouldn't happen with Wan-Bissaka at right-back but I do think it's where Ole wants to go.

Think it's just about finding that balance.

Their midfielders are much better at passing than McTominay and Fred. It's night and day.

Fabinho and Henderson cannot be compared to McFred.

McFreds problem is they cannot pass. Also Fred's touch is a liability too.

I tend to agree. Hence why I'd replace Pogba in the DM position with a Carrick type player. Somene who can create but is very good defensively, too.

I'd wouldn't have Fred or McT starting consistently given the choice. Rice and another more progressive player would be way better.
