Pogba's dad has died so hasn't travelled. Valencia hasn't travelled either. We have taken a lot of U-11's with us.

Jose seems totally has given up on 4th!
That's not right IMO we can take it to the last day if we can win our next 2,no?

With today's results, top 4 is dead in the water.(Arsenal have Moyes at home next, that could be very ugly)

Please give some of the kids a run out.

I quite enjoy our youngsters getting a chance.
I agree, sod the result. I don't want any more unnecessary injuries.

No - it's impossible now for 4th place.

We should play the youth players in the league and concentrate solely on the final.

If we win our last three we have a real chance at top four but not with this manager and coach. Resigned to defeat

Big ask either way with half our players either injured or coming back from injury.

    14th Spurs away
    17th Southampton away
    21st Palace home
    24th Europa league final

With the injuries we have and Pogba going away due to his dad...we have no chance. Would be stupid to play the first team in all those games when Ajax have 10 days to rest

We all saw what happened in the league cup final when Southampton hadn't played a game in 18 days and we played like 4 in that time or something. This time we wont have Ibra to bail us out

Nah...we have one match to win to get into the CL..which is what Liverpool and Arsenal are going to be fighting for over the next two games. If we win it, we will be in the CL plus have a European trophy we have never won. Bang to rights for me to go all out for that EL trophy.

Since this game is probably a glorified friendly, I wanna see players enjoying themselves and playing with more freedom than usual. It is not even about winning, just playing with more attacking intent would be a big change considering the last few games.

Anything to have a pop at the manager.

We have little chance of making top 4.

Arsenal have two home games left:Against Sunderland (Relegated and given up, saw them today and it was basically a training exercise for Swansea) and Everton ( No thing to play for, would help deny Liverpool a champions league spot and haven't won away to Arsenal in decades)

Liverpool have West Ham and relegated Boro to play. One of those might stumble. But not both.

    It's delusional to think otherwise.

    Forget logic.

Jose is just a big loser for testing players that have played 60 plus games to achieve the same goal in 3 improbable games that he can achieve in one.

I'd love it if both Poch and Mourinho put out a team of youth players. Would make for a really interesting game. Spurs are secured second place so nothing for them there. The only thing they might be focusing on is that last game at White Hart Lane

Sure there will be a load of old-timers there, why not them against our kids?

We are still in mathematical chance to get top 4, so Spurs need to be respectful to the other 3 teams.

Bailly playing in the PL games now as he misses the EL Final ? Or do Jones and Smalling need games to get match fit for the Ajax game. Spurs will want to put on a show and will look to put in a real performance. I'm trying to be optimistic but if United get a point from this game I will be surprised.

Mourinho has already said that our squad is depleted to the point where it's just not feasible to compete at our best in both the league and EL. Therefore the choice has been made for him as much he's decided to abandon the league for the EL.

In fact I'd expect any other manager to do the same in the given scenario. It's nothing to do with Mourinho. It's just common sense.

I understand your frustration because having two routes is obviously better than one, and heck we may very have a chance of making top 4 yet, but we just have to trust the manager on this one.

Yes, let's risk a 50/50 chance at a trophy/CL qualification on a long shot in the league

Who does one have to f… around here to get Mitchell and Olosunde in the squad prediction list options? Name the names…

You sometimes wonder if some fans would actually be happier if we were finishing 14th in the table every year but our team was brimming with lads like McNair and Blackett - proper local lads.

Not just local lads, but playing youngsters.
When we are trying to move up the table, playing youngsters will reduce our ability to win games.
There is a reason why the teams which won the titles this year and last, both used players who are all in their prime.
Some will point out how Spurs are doing...the problem is that they don't win anything.

As others have said, we might as well play Bailly now in every league game given his circumstances and pair him with Smalling/Jones....see who can stay fit and perform slightly better than the other, to partner Blind in the EL final. Tuanzebe at RB (though I'd rather see him in his natural spot at CB)

Have a feeling McTominay is going to start tomorrow beside Carrick, since he gave him some minutes against Arsenal.

Could be, although I see him as a Fellaini footballing skills look alike, and maybe we should start the Pogba look alike, Willock.

I would like to start both with Carrick, With Rooney, Martial and Mata upfront but I think Willock will probable come as a sub.

Just hope Herrera won't play tomorrow.

Something about Mourinho's comments about being disrespectful to players like Carrick to start too many youngsters makes me doubt that. And I also think he's going to cover the flanks really good, so I'm not expecting a 4-3-3.

When did he say that ? Didn't see these comments.

Why not just play best XI (Although I also want Tuanzebe gets his chance). Europa League final is still in 2 weeks. Give everything what we got until it's mathematically impossible for top 4. To me we should try to win the Spurs game and if we win, try to win the Southampton games, Spurs has no motivation anymore as Chelsea won the league and Southampton has no chance to take Everton's spot.

Then an injury comes to Pogba, Valencia, Herrera and Rashford and we're fecked up for the final. No thanks.

So Carrick and McTom to start tomorrow?

Fellaini, Pogba and TFM are all ruled out, and Herrera is due a rest due to cramp at

Me too, he is our only option if we want to rest Herrrera, which I think we should.

I can't recall exactly, but I think it was after the Arsenal game.

I still think most of the first team should be risked in the Southampton game, since it actually might be the closest resemblance game to Ajax's we'll have, and they do still need to stretch their legs.
