Good team. Nice to see Mensah getting a start. Looked good when he come on against Everton, where he assisted for Martial's goal. Get's forward a lot better than Darmian too, which will compliment Mata more.

Thought Herrera would come in for Carrick, but Carrick and Schneiderlin have been solid in the last few games. I can imagine Herrera, like last week, will be brought on to give us energy.

Watched the replay of the opening game of the season before work yesterday it was on the tele. They had us absolutely on the rack in the first 20 minutes, I think it was Eriksen hit the bar with a lob that had it gone in... Well, who knows. Blind was absolutely all over the place until we scored.

    Own goal?

Would have gone for Martial left, young right, rashford up top and mata as the 10, with schneiderlin and herrera in midfield and darmian left back. Probably Valencia right back though TFM has done well. Young/Valencia/Herrera will get subbed on though and make a difference

I guess he's starting Rojo because it guarantees he will get to sub at least one full back.

I have no explanation for Carrick being in the team, he couldn't cope with Cleverley and McCarthy last week.

Carrick better start getting his shit together, watching him this season has had my arsehole going two penny, half penny at times, I would much rather of seen Herrera in there and I'm not a big fan of Mata on the right but there's our season in a nutshell, it's all just a bit confusing really.

Game's delayed by 15 minutes as we're stuck in traffic.

LvG must be the only person on the planet who hasn't realised that Carrick and Schneiderlinn are a bad combination.

Mata was on the right vs City for example and was all right.
Him being on the right is the least of our problems.

Do we play every fecking game Sunday at 5pm? I am fed up with this bullshit, early Saturday kick offs are the best.

    My thoughts exactly.
I like to get our football match done as early as possible, but instead, we seem to be the last team to play, every weekend. I actually can't remember the last time we had a "normal" 3PM Saturday kick off.

Yeah, the whole weekend of waiting for an United match and then in a second it's Monday morning...

Pleased to see Fosu-Mensah get a start, he's been impressive when I've seen him. Right-back is clearly not a position that we've quite nailed down. Personally, I would have started Herrera over Carrick, but it's not a major issue for me either.

    Game delay is annoying.

That's why we need to make top 4. No more Thursday-Sunday cycle.

What happened to our buss? It broke down, couldn't park or what?

LOL. Yeah thats how it feels.
And as if 4PM is late enough, its been shifted to 4:15PM!!!!

Mensah in my opinion is not a fullback. Valencia and Darmien should have started ahead of him. However, I will not be surprised if this move by Van Gaal turns out to work because he seems to have the "Midas Touch," when it comes to implementing these youth player.

I will gloat so much if this move fails on him :)
