Swansea are shite. But we've lost against shite before, so it's nice to be putting them to the sword. Hope we score a few more in the second half, it'd be great to absolutely thrash someone for the first time in years.

Our players actually look like they give half a feck! :0

MotM display from Carrick so far. His ability to control the match and give more licence to the likes of Pogba has played a huge part in us dominating this game. He's added a bit of insurance and confidence to the side that we've been lacking, allowing some of our 'star names' to shine. Rooney with two assists, Zlatan with two goals and Pogba with a screamer as well.

Great display, game is buried. Would like to see some of the other players lacking in confidence to come and get on the score sheet, but I do expect this to be similar to the Leicester game where we can't quite muster up the drive to really put them to the sword and go 4, 5, 6 goals up.

I've gotta hand it to Swansea, I didn't think was possible for a team to look weorse than Sunderland but they've achieved it, they don't even look interested.

Our football wasn't great but there's so much space and Pogba scored a stunner to ease the pressure.

Great half. Put Martial on for Fellaini to get him some confidence out there and for us to get a few more.

Satisfying first half against a team that clearly has no game plan. Carrillo dictating play and Ibrahimovic bossing his opponent. Good times again.

Surprising to see Swansea's scorelines look decent against Arsenal, Liverpool, and City
They still had Guidolin for the Liverpool and City games in fairness. I guess the Arsenal game was just a case of it being the new managers first game.

Van Gaals bogie team nearly vanquished. I was kind of nervous about this match but it maybe a 0-5 which would be nice.

well that was a fun half

Not sure why so many are moaning more about Swansea being bad

I'm sure I'm not alone in that I would have taken a scrapppy 0-1 today
It's one of my biggest pet peeves on the Caf: 'yeah but [insert team name here] were garbage/awful/laughable,etc... Good teams put bad teams to the sword. It's something we haven't done nearly enough in recent years.

Swansea have been as bad as I have ever seen a team play.

Carrick has been a maestro. Heartbeat of the club. Pogba looks like he's enjoying less responsibility to run the game. Freed up. Jones has moped up everything. Well done Zlatan.

So is the CAF consensus still that Mourinho could be sacked for picking that side..?

Great scoreline but I wouldn't get too excited. Swansea look like a team that will be fighting relegation.
When we drew against Stoke they were on 2 points in the relegation zone. Yeah, Swansea have been dire but at least we're scoring a few which is the first time we've done so in the league since we beat Leicester in September.

We battered the league champions quite recently.

Its so tiresome. I really wonder why some people bother with football when the glass is always half empty. We are 3 nil up and people moaning at others who are happy about it because "Swansea are so bad."

That Swansea performance was the most non fecks given performance I've ever seen from a side but still we're taking our chances which is good to see.

    Swansea haven't offered anything.

This is basically the Burnley game except Swansea don't have an ex-United keeper determined to prove his ex-employers wrong in net.

    We've been effective, nothing more.

    A couple of other observations:

Jones has been composed on his return from injury
Darmian looks better as a LB than a RB
Pogba-Carrick (+ Herrera) midfield partnership is the way to go

My goodness, are Swansea terrible. Not complaining, though. Ibra needs a game like this to get his finishing back.

Let's be honest, the reaction from people on the lineup was correct, we've got a bunch of plodders up front but Swansea are sitting back so much and showing so little interest that we could probably be winning with our U18s out there. The backline hasn't needed to do much. Jones does look lively in his first game back and with him being out so long, it's easy to forget that he does have pretty good positional sense.

Young is the one player I'm not happy with. He's playing with no width and hasn't made one serious run going forward. I'm assuming these were the instructions given to him. Darmian has been pretty good, though.

Oh no! The revisionist posts are starting to flow:lol:

    Darmian's world class
Fellaini is the midfield general we've been crying out for

I have always defended him, people are harsh with him and I didn't like him at SCP, he was a terrible left back.

I really hope we're gonna go for the big statement win in the second half instead of just settling for the win...

I actually thought this is the anti-ragged lineup. Not much speedness and creativity in the wings, but very solid defensively.
It's hard to say with this. If Swansea had bothered who knows. I will take this though and hope they can add to the goals. We need to tonk someone.

Swansea are awful. Arsenal would run this lineup ragged.

Arsenal just about beat Swansea 3-2, couple weeks back at home.

If the score remains the same, it will be the first time this season they got beat by more than 2 goals.

In fairness they have been terrible today and anyone half decent team would be winning comfortably.
