Someone from the M.E.N. must be on here.

Has Real interest played role in De Gea absence?
Cast your mind back two years ago and De Gea appeared to lack focus as he conceded soft goals against Villa and Everton amid strong interest from Real Madrid.

It’s recently resurfaced and he almost dropped one in against West Brom and was culpable for Phil Jagielka’s opener.

Mourinho said ‘little problem’ and didn’t specifically mention an injury, which was ambiguous. United maintain he is injured but that hasn’t stopped the TV pundits from speculating already.

To be fair, we've had Smalling wearing the arm band with minimal impact, so doubt Fellaini will be any worse.
Anyway, the win is what's important today.

Still funny seeing Fells with the arm band, most fans on other United forums are not that impressed, but it's super funny:lol:

    UNITED SIDE ANNOUNCED
United: Romero; Darmian, Bailly, Rojo, Shaw; Fellaini (c), Herrera; Lingard, Pogba, Mkhitaryan; Ibrahimovic. Subs: J. Pereira, Blind, Fosu-Mensah, Tuanzebe, Carrick, Martial, Rashford.

Martial sub and Lingard starting is dog shite. Yes Martial was poor last game he played but Lingard in the Everton game was shite as normal.

any XI we pick should beat this sunderland side, but the team looks a little undbalanced. sometimes, I really don't know aht's going on any more

If it makes Shaw a better professional we shouldn't care.

Of course I wouldn't care, but the treatment towards players like Martial, Mkhitaryan and now Shaw has to be classed as strange.

Shaw was a great player before, so I won't be crediting Jose if Shaw expectedly starts playing well again.

Romero always starts the Europa League games.
De Gea being the best, maybe he shouldn't, now that Europa League is almost our only chance of playing Champions League football?

We don't need this discussion today as it's been had already, but I really hope Shaw has a good game and can get some football now. My guess is he must feel a bit of pressure.

Do Madrid actually even want DDG? We always hear they do but surely if they wanted him they go for him last summer?

With his new wage Lingard better start every games played by United from the U14 to the U79.

Redknapp that shocked Fellaini is captain he looked dumbfounded haha!

Neville also having his say on De Gea and Lingard.

With both Valencia and Young out and only 3 center-backs fit, we'll hardly be able to play 3 at the back with Anderlecht.

The reasons are same as with Hazard Pedro Felipe Luis De brune Salah . They lack something AV Ashely cole Robben Ronaldo bale had.

The genius is at it again.

Phil Neville: "It looks like De Gea has been dropped to me."
He did say the press conference was yesterday. It was on Friday.

Mourinho didn’t confirm Mata was injured at his Friday press conference - having undergone surgery on the Thursday. He doesn’t always give full injury updates.

Fecking Fellaini. He was culpable for the goal (twice) on Tuesday but he gets treated with kid's gloves in case his feelings get hurt like when he gave the penalty away against Everton away. Ridiculous.

What was that about everyone always agreeing the team looks good before the match?

As soon as Martial is not in it, people go mental. I don't see what he has done to warrant a starting place. Lingard deserves it more.

    Oh dear .Here we go

I'm going to play a match day thread drinking game. Down half my beer for every "£100K a week for that?" and down the whole thing for "captain's touch there" or "captains pass there".

On second thoughts, there's not enough beer in the world.
