This goal was all on Bailly, not Darmian. A full back is not to be expected to stay wide to mark a winger when the ball is on the opposite end. He was correctly positioned and had little to do with the good pass out on the wing.
Bailly was walking and played the assister onside and then let the scorer in front of him. He's clearly been injured for half the match and should have taken himself off a long ago.
My issue here is Darmian was too high and Fletcher was teeing up that pass for an eternity. Absolutely no anticipation or nouce from Darmian to start shifting over towards the wingers direction so he can close him quicker. By the time the ball is played he is ball watching, tried putting his hand up for offside and is now to far away to make up any ground.
Pathetic.
