Decided to wake up once Stoke scored. I mean, we've done everything except score. Would have been nice to find an equaliser in the first half, but if we continue to play like that in the second half, then surely we'll score, and hopefully go on to win the game.

Problem is now we are stuck with Fellaini as hell want to keep him on for them long ball option later. We need Pogba to pick up the pace of the game..he's too ponderous.We played well, definitely the best team. De Gea probably at fault for their goal. If we keep going in the second half and make a few changes, we'll win this.On the day Liverpool lost and one or both of City or Spurs will drop points, we are blowing it.

Sorry but Fellaini is not having a solid game. Just because he hasn't done anything wrong doesn't mean its a solid game. As a midfielder he has done nothing. Again granted thats his game, so its not on him. But with him in CM its like playing with 10 men.

Herrera and Fellaini don't even want to get on the ball because they don't want to deal with Stokes midfield pressing them. We have been so dreadful as killing games. Even on the winning run we only beat Palace and Boro in the last minute and sealed the game against West Ham and Sunderland late on.

Fellaini has made just 20 passes, 4 more than Peter Crouch and 1 more than Smalling and Jones.

Agreed.Should be several goals up. Profligate finishing is the story of our season. Ok. I am finally on board the Griezmann bandwagon.Good first half from us but as usual we are being let down by individual mistakes. Deflected off Mata. Difficult for De Gea.'Straight at the keeper again' sums up our finishing all season. We make it hard for ourselves to win games with poor finishing and the lack of cheap goals from set pieces.
Playing well and missing clear cut chances is just not good enough if you consider yourself one top teams and realistic challenger for the title etc, it is usually the attribute that separates teams from the top , typically we need about 10 or so good chances before we can convert. That is just not good enough for the level we should be at.
Both of those backs have been pillars for us at times bit this year for Jones and last year for Smalling, so give it a break.Our finishing has been dodgy and our set pieces are seriously lacking. Have we scored from a free kick this season? I'm sure we have, but I can't recall one.Someone tell Pogba that for 100mil, while not expecting 20+ goal, he ought to be finishing those chances.- Status
