We desperately need some attacking impetus from our CMs. Southampton can just put 2 men on all of our attackers and leave space behind them because Carrick and Schneiderlin will not venture forwards and join the attack.

Our left side of defence is looking appalling, as is the right side of our attack - I only realised Mata was playing after about 20 minutes.

The team is far too spread out. When United get possession the back line isn't moving up, the 2 deep midfielders stay behind the halfway mark. It's no wonder we have to try and hoof it to the forward players
