I wouldn't say that they were over the top. Talented? Yes, quite obviously.

The comments on here are mainly pertaining not just to this match, but the previous few in which he has been borderline dreadful and his decision making abilities have been questionable to say the least.

I want him to do well as I can see a sparks of greatness, my issue is that he's so consistently inconsistent it breeds a bit of a hateful following.

What? His attitude and mentality are his main qualities since his footballing ability isnt enough. He doesnt complain when benched, he works hard and wants to win.... if he was a better footballer he would be perfect.

I've said it before and I will say it again.... Matic is too slow.. but it makes more sense for him to be in central defence, if we have to play him...he played there when we came back against Newcastle. He slows us down in midfield. Play him there and let Herrera take his place as a box-to-boxer.

Having said that, we need reinforcements in central defence and central midfield. And if i was going to target an affordable defender Diop of West Ham is deeply impressive.

He's 21. It will be at least 3 more years before we see the best of him. Very few players are great at 21.
