    Fergusons sides used to do the EXACT SAME THING. That's what really won us titles. Nobody remembers the 1-0 wins we ground out at West Ham etc
     
    Shiite attacking performance but even while we seemed under the cosh, I wasn't concerned. Our defence looked rock solid.

    We could have killed it a lot earlier than that to be fair. This sort of game I would not play both Mata and Mhki.

    Chelsea lost to Burnley at home, and have less than half our goal difference. City drew at home to a team we just thrashed 4-0.
     
    I would rather win 1-0 ten times than win 10-0 once. Have to take these tough games as much as when we win 4-0.
     
    Thank God, we only defended well, in previous season or 2 we have surely conceded but it's good to win ugly today although there are lots of negativity from the boss here setting back all this long period is not right at all.

    I'm happy. But me and the others moaning/concerned are not bothered about thrashing teams every week, it's maintaining control of the game, and we had precisely zero control for pretty much the entire 2nd half.

    We were playing like a Sunderland team defending a goal lead against Barcelona.

    It's worrying the whole midfield seems to hinge on Pogba.
     
    Honestly why do some people on here even support United? All they do is whinge after every game. Yes we didn't play scintillating football today, but we are joint top of the league. Do you think Fergie had the team playing amazing football all the time, no he did not. Sometimes you have do work hard and grind out a 1-0 win.

    But you have to say it reminded you of many a SAF title winning team performance. Just an iron will to see out the match with 3 points. We were solid defensively.

    Jones was immense. With better finishing and cutting edge in the final third we could have won it earlier. The service to lukaku was shit. Young might keep his place in the squad just based on the fact he can cross
